Can you repackage ships, equipment, etc. and money and send them between characters in game? thx

Yeah. You can either right-click them in station and just use the shoddy trade interface. Otherwise, there's always the Contracts system, where you can set up a PRIVATE contract to give them the stuff (I always evemail them a link to the contract when it's up).
For just money, it's as easy as searching for their name in People and Places, right-clicking them, and selecting Give Money (doesn't work when trial accounts are involved).

Worth mentioning its not like WoW where you can mail items from one location to another. You will have to deliver, or the recipient will have to collect.

You have to physicly move an item from one place to another. You can't "mail" them and have them magicly appear at your target location.

If you have 2 accounts online at the sametime, you can trade with yourself.

I keep a huge container next to some places I frequent and exchange items between characters that way,too. Make sure you anchor them and set a password. It's usefull when you have 2 ships that can use the same equipment like miners or even ammo that you don't want to keep mailing back and forth.
