So here is my problem:
an alt of an inactive member is the CEO of a corp I'm involved with.
I have an alt in the corp, this alt has a number of shares, and other active members have enough shares to cary any vote.
My alt has corp management 5 and ethnic relations 4. If I read the descriptions right, that means that she should be able to manage 50 members of whom 40 can be non-galentte.
However, every time I try and 'run for ceo' with her, I get an error saying
"You cannot run for CEO. This might be because you lack the skills required or because there was a vote for a new CEO recently."
The CEO was changed to the inactive players alt about 2 months ago.
so can you only change CEOs every 3 months, or do I have a bug, or is there some critical corp management skill Im missing here, or what?

I suggest you make a petition and ask a GM how long you have to wait to be able to run for CEO properly. If there is a bug somehow and you should be able to do it already, ask the GM to investigate the situation and make your alt CEO.
In one of my former corporations, our CEO went offline for months and was eventually replaced, by a GM, with an active member of our choice. So it has been done before and if the account your current CEO is on is inactive, I am pretty sure the GM will help you get a new one...

It's not a skill you're missing by the looks of it... Unless you have more than 50 members in the corp or more than 40 of them are non-Gallente.
Is it possible it's a role? I have I think heard that you need to be a director to run for CEO...
Alternatively there's a cool-down of longer than two months...

if the ceo has bin inactive for 2 mths, you can petition it, if he logged on within that time ccp will say f$$k you. vote might woork, never tried it

If the people in the corp who are active, have at least 51% of the shares and give them to one person. That person can start a vote for CEO.

Our corp voted out our old CEO after a month I think. It was back in March, I believe.
