The pics are at MMORPG.com if your useing Norton you have to disable it to view MMORPG.com or at least I do for some reason that escapes me. It's the only site that I've ran into that has this problem. It's not blacklisted or anything else Norton just doesn't like it for some reason.

ok ok the left one I would presume is the Arazu, its look good apart from the fact it need to have the green. Thats what I love about most T2 Gall ships, its the green (Ishtar/Ishkur/Helios, even the green vapour trails from the deimos).

I definitely like the new ship models; the textures and modeling are both well done. I'd like to see some of the new system backgrounds and effects -- what the new turrets will look like when they fire, explosion effects, things like that.

Love it. I can only pray the Raven gets a decent makeover, have to agree it's very ugly, a few tweaks and a new texture will do it wonders. The Drake and Rokh are such trend setters, and eh... the Rokh anyway isnt perfectly symmetrical :p

Well isn't that a kick in the ass...CCP and Microsoft are requiring us to upgrade to an OS that isn't even 20% stable yet...Hell in my books, Windows XP just recently became stable enough for me to call it DECENT...Oh well, time to hope WineX or Cedega devs release some amazing update so I can make linux my gaming rig full time.

Somewhere in some Dev Blog that I can't be arsed to find they said that as long as your graphix card can handle pixel shader 3.0 you wouldn't need vista and/or DX10 to see all the new pretty stuff. Hopefully thats still true because theres no way I can or would buy a whole new rig just for Vista and/or Trinity 2.0.

Correct. The majority of the graphics upgrades will be available on DX9 with Shader Model 3.0, but not everything. We've listened to your feedback (in forums and other channels) and we're reading you loud and clear: a lot of our users will not upgrade to Vista and a DX10 graphics card anytime soon. You're crushing Bill G's spirit but that's besides the point

Nope you aren't - Looks like we're in the minority though. I've never understood this forum's desperate cries for symmetry in everything. People saying the Scorpion should be symmetrical...wtf? It would look utterly ridiculous. Also Raven.
CCP, stick to your guns - if you like these ships to be asymmetrical, keep them that way. Your artists know a lot more about aesthetics than the forum rabble does.

What it (DX9) does is put the smile on your faces as well - There are vast number of reasons why Vista will experience stubborn change resistance, some even predicting in a scale that will force MS to make certain changes. Without a need to go into those matters, it suffices to say that supporting DX9 is very prudent business decision.
I would be most interested to see statistics on weekly basis how many distinct accounts are using DX10 clients and how many DX9 clients, and see how that develops... if such statistics would be in the realm of possibilities to show to the community
For me personally, it's extremely unlikely that I will move to Vista in the next 2 or 3 years...

from what I've seen DX10 adds very little new graphical tools (ie no uber OMG HOW GOOD DOES THIS LOOK! stuff) but DOES make what we currently are able to do much less resource hungry, so you'll be able to run better quality graphics on less resources (of course you'll still need a DX10 card)

as for the pictures, clearly they are fakes because it's a caldari ship with symmetry! 
all joking aside though, let's hope they decide to rework a couple caldari battleships that many agree would look infinitely better with some symmetry, even if not perfect, just somewhat better than their currently grossly lopsided models.
