Went to see this movie yesterday. I was abit down, gf was abit down. Bought us some ice and thought, lets see that english movie. I havent laughed this hard since borat. I didnt expect the splatter, but found it to be very funny. The action was fantastic. When he drop kicked the granny i nearly feel out of my chair. 10/10 movie.
Bonus, yay for having bill bailey in it also

The "kick the granny in the face" moment was the best in the movie, I was laughing for hours after that. __________________________________________ "In girum imus nocte, et consumimur igni."

Edited by: Mephistophilis on 25/05/2007 12:23:59 Spaced was Simons first TV stuff, it was him and Nick frost. It's classic stuff, you can see where the style of Hot fuzz and Shaun of the dead come from! It's 2 series and only cheep, go get it
Hot fuzz had me in stitches, think i nearly wee'd myself at the swear box (was just a flash of it) and the guy wee'ing on the fruit machine! Awsome
Oh and James Bond as the bad guys ROFLMAO

Hot Fuzz is full to the brim with win. Funnier than Shaun of the Dead I thought.
If you liked them you'll love Spaced, best sitcom ever!

It came out in England ages ago and I'm guessing it was recently released in America.

I really liked Spaced, and got the dvds I didn't think Shaun of the Dead was that good. (but maybe I was expecting a bit much after Spaced?) Hot Fuzz was great (though I am curious how it'll be recieved by Americans, given a lot of it satirizes certain aspects of English culture...that Americans prolly aren't familiar with. Mind you, we get the Simpsons ) __________________________ Indulge Me Consider Yourself Indulged - Immy ♥ Wow immy scored - Xorus |

the movie received really good reviews here. i suspected there were inside jokes but most of those went unnoticed. if the movie were a gazillion dollar painting it would be considered a really nice painting here in america while it tells more of a story with a message there in the uk.

didn't like shawn of the dead that much (despise the fact that i usually love english humor), but hot fuzz was just AWESOME. especially the last third of the movie made me nearl wet myself. best parts were the granny-dropkick and the godzilla-like battle in the toy village. just awesome. and the swan, just too good to be true :D
