I've got those skills (incidentally you only need Outpost Construction V for the most advanced platforms I believe) but still can't do anything because the sovereignty level in the area I'm in is not high enough. |

Pretty sure that it wouldn't break things like having maxed ship skills would, since Outpost Construction has only 2 uses, with Rev 2.0, as opposed to the one it has now. Free beer for those who mod my sig!
There is only one sig hijack that matters, the orginal and only member of the hijack squad. me. -Eris. ps Black russians are better then beer. Originally by: CCP Chronotis updated my original post with the new upgrade platform prices.
regarding attacking station services, the services have a huge amount of hitpoints and are not designed so that any roaming gang can come along and simply shut down a station without any real planning or logistics. The critical services like cloning take the longest to disable for example.
Hmm... could you take another look at this? If the hitpoints are tiered anyways, it would be really nice if medium sized roaming gangs could damage or disable some of these. It would be an excellent way to make a turtled-up, unwilling enemy undock, don't you think? --- WTS: Forum Signatures, price negotiable. Evemail me!

I put out a upgrade platform and filled it up, and told it to build, and my station hasn't upgraded in 3 days yet. -----------------------------------

my question is, can any corp in an alliance deploy and upgrade for an alliance outpost, or must it be deployed by the corporation that owns the station?
If it is required to be the corp that controls the station is there any possibility of getting that changed to allow any alliance corp to deploy an upgrade.
Also does anyone know what the repair requirements are for when a station service is diabled?

Has anyone managed to do even basic testing of the outpost upgrades? With the delays in order to get the various levels of sovereignty to even allow deployment of the platforms (together with an upcoming mirror) it doesn't seem this area is getting any testing at all.
Is there any way to lift the sovereignty restrictions on the test server to allow people to play with this stuff? I read somewhere about a specific area of the galaxy being set up to test this, but probably many players would like to try it out in their own alliance space.

Upgrade Platforms Rank 1: 4 billion Rank 2: 16 billion Rank 3: 64 billion
Improvement Platforms Basic: 1 billion Standard: 4 billion Advanced: 16 billion
Thats a little bit more provisional information for you, but I will leave it to my colleague and his very detailed blog to explain the nitty gritty which should be published in next few days hopefully.
Prices for upgrades is too high. Yes lvl 1 is a good improvement for your outpost for 5 bil, minmatar will be refinery with 99%, amar more factories 30% faster. 2nd lvl upgrades required 25 bil (it's a cost full opertaion outpost). I need more offices on station? pay 25 bil for only 6 offices or pay 25 bil for new gallente outpost with 16 offices?? 7 factory or new amar outpost with 20 factory with higher speed? I will choose second option. For 3rd lvl upgrade I need to pay 100 bil! I can build 4 new outopsts for this money. Who said about 60% cap ship component speed reduction is cool? 100 bil for 15 slots with 60% reduction or 80 with 30% reduction? It's just a math.
In conclusion.. new upgrades price must satisfy their bonuses. Noone will buy this upgrades if player can buy "more services" for same money.

Originally by: Bonnie Jose Hi i would like to test out these improvements Outposts but the biggest hurdle in test them is the Skill requirements. Anchoring V Outpost Construction V thats a total of 84 days of learning on the test server.
Can we all get the skilld bumped for testing.
they have said no to this request hundreds, if not thousands of times. --------------------------------------------------- A word to the wise ain't necessary, its the stupid ones that need the advice |

I thought the reason for placing the station services outside the station was to give roaming gangs something to do and move the game away from blob=win. I tested to shoot one of the services a little and after 5 minutes or more at 8 seckond ROF and 790 or so per torpedo I couldt see the difference in damage. So I guess its back to 50-man small roaming gang?

Quote: Outpost Warfare. Targetable Outpost Services. Individual services offered by outposts are now vulnerable to precision strikes. Attacking players will see a list of “opportunity targets” in their overview as they approach these stations, each of which will have different hit point values depending on their importance.
Happy to see some of my ideas implemented... Sadly it done in one-sided way :-/ -- . |

There needs to be a balance between that and "lol russians disabled all your outpost facilities with 3 thoraxes 30 minutes before dt" every morning.

Granted. How about this then: 1. Give the services not so much HP (so they can be knocked out by 3 BoB-slaves in thoraxes) 2. Give them a natural shield regen of say 8 hours and make them boostable (like a pos shield) 3. Full shield = service comes back online.

Wait, what???
OK, please please please tell me they disable properly. i.e. When disabled boot your clone to another station, much like if the station gets captured & clone rights revoked.
If you've been off roaming, and get podded only to find that in your absence you don't have a clone bay at that station anymore, then that's deeply Not Right.

i dont fully understand all yet but did i read it good that wih the 4 bil platform ya can only do 1 basic upgrade, lets say reseacrh slots on a outpost and then ya can only stay at that path ?
before the patchnotes i thought ya would be able to choise multiple items, like research and more offices, or would that mean that for the 2e basic ya need to drop another 4 bil platform ? .

The smallplatform gives you one tier1 slot. The medium platform gives you +1 tier1 and a tier 2 slot. The biggest platform gives you agai +1 tier1, +1 tier2 and one tier3 slot.
So with the big platform you can have three tier1, two tier2 and one tier3 upgrades.
That is if I understand the item descriptions correctly.
