Hypatia Iola Caldari Central Defiance Terror In The System	Posted - 2007.05.29 18:41:00 - [33] you are indeed bitter man pretty much every major corporation donates large sums to charity... it's a tax writeoff... that said a WoW charity month where half(they can afford it) or even all of the month's subscription costs go to charity would be a good idea. at the end of the day though, you can't save everyone, or even most people. that doesn't mean don't do what you can, just don't berate those that do SOMETHING I represent only my own views, they just happen to be the right ones.

I didnt know Blizzard was founded as a fund raiser for charities. Could you give some more information on this? Oh, thats right. They arent a charity fund raiser. They arent obligated to do one damn thing for anyone. But when asked, they chose to. The funny thing with people like you, even if Blizzard donated to a charity every year you'd turn around and say they werent donating to the right charity.

Are you actually having a tinfoil hat moment about major companies and their charitable donations? You think Bill Gates gives xx% of his worldly possessions to charity per year to improve Microsoft's public image? As has been stated already, any money that goes to charity doesn't go to the government, that's half the reason right there. And aside from all that, Blizzard clicked a finger and made this kid the happiest kid in the world for a day. It doesn't benefit Blizzard at all financially. You really thing Bliz is going to see a huge spike in player subscriptions because of this event? No, of course they aren't.
