It explicitly states that the Make-A-Wish Foundation got in touch with Blizzard first. Blizzard is just doing the decent thing. Also, when is it not a publicity stunt? This sort of thing will make the news somewhere, Blizzard is a big multinational company. Whatever their intentions, everything they do that gets published is a publicity stunt to some people... Which leads to me to wonder, if i ever get on national TV while being interviewed by a street reporter, does that mean it was just a publicity stunt of mine? It's nice to see a company the size of Blizzard answering the call of a charity and giving this kid some enjoyment in a time of need, especially when the time himself and his father have together is limited by his illness, and this is something they enjoy doing together. In fact, it's seriously impressive that a company that has to sacrifice so much time to over 7 million players can take the time out to breathe, and do something like this for one of the "little guys" in the gaming world. Whether or not they did it for free good publicity, or whether they did it to genuinely make a dying child happy doesn't really matter (though personally I would think both). What does matter, is that they did grant that wish and the kid was happy with it.
