If you're going to the expense of using 720 scouts, why not just go all the way and use H-50 Arbalests>
Just the market prices of a trio of 720 scouts, a Medium C5L booster, YS-8 MWD, and 2 H-50 Arbalests, and you have one superexpensive Rupture whose cost is a third to a half of a battleship already.
Here is how ultimate (and super expensive) Rupture setup should be.
3 720 Scouts
2 H-50 Arbalests
A TE-2100 or the small M-12 class Arbalest if you still have the grid and the CPU for more missiles
1 Med C5L Shield booster
1 Optical Tracking Computer
1 YS-8 MWD
1 Pneumatic Activation Stabilizer
1 Autogain Tracking Control (there may be a better low slot tracker)
1 Photonic CPU (you will need this after all those parts)
I would rather sell these and earn my way to a battleship.
It's better to use the middle level named components, as they are not as easy to sell though they're cheaper. But they lack 'brand value' which is why you're not likely to find buyers. These include cannons with names like "Carbine", "Prototype Siege" and "Gallum". They're much more available, and Angel hunters may have some of these somewhere. They don't have the punch of the Scout but better than the stock piece.
One thing: if you are considering a Rupture for PvP, make the consideration that you may lose the ship. There are many big ugly things out there that can kill a Rupture, and there are many cruisers that can give it a good fight. So I would not put all my eggs in a cruiser. Oufit it in a way that would make it affordable to lose the ship. Insure it so that you can recover the amount, but remember that insurance won't cover the cost of super costly modules.

Your ship with basic market parts will be like this:
3 720s Howitizers
2 H-50s
If you still have the CPU and the grid, put an M-12 for more missiles
One Med Shield Booster
One Tracking Computer
One 100mn MWD
One Gyrostabilizer 1
One Tracking Enhancer
One Basic CPU booster (at best a CoProcessor 1)
Cap Relays on whatever low slot you still have.
Won't be as effective, but a lot cheaper. You won't be crying if someone blows this ship up.
