Be sure to use the 'entertainment mode' when listening to music (this makes the soundcard work at the exact sample rate as the music, removing the need to upsample or downsample) and use a ASIO output. Only Winamp and Foobar support it AFAIK.

Yes : / Directsound muddies sound a lot when unless all program and system volume controls are at 100% And even then it's not as clear-cut as ASIO or kernel output. Having spent good money on audio stuff, I suggest ditching iTunes.

It's particularly messy atm cause I turned the whole bloody thing upside down a couple days ago looking for something important.
Only cleaned about half of it up then got bored :p
