it got hacked. ----------------------------------------- [2003.12.17 06:35:20] Corwin > Orvolle is .4? Doesn't that mean that it's less than .5 ? and isn't .5 what starts the danger level? [2003.12.30 07:15:50] Corwin > Tech 2, IE expanded cargo holds I, MIning lasers 2, etc.... TL2 is being released all around you [2003.12.30 07:21:20] Corwin > tech 2 is released to players. Some players are busy researching the BPs before building stuff. Others are sitting on the BPs making copies to make money off of them that way |

Well, i can't say whats happened to EVE-I, i haven't been in touch with big K, or lotta, or anyone from the crew. I'll make sure they post here when they/I have some info.

Prolly some sore brat that lost his new ship and needed to take it out on the best eve site there is. Spelling corrections welcome, but don't expect me to edit my post. |

EVE-I:COM's database went belly up sometime on the early morning of the 9th. Last time this happened we got hacked but the only thing the hacker managed to do was mess up the db. From the symptoms it seems like the same problem again. Unfortunately, only K and Dancer have direct access to the server and since they've been both kind of out of touch recently (Dancer is without internet access atm) it might take us a bit to get back online. Rest assured we are trying our best to get it sorted out as soon as possible.

Sounds like you guys/gals need some code to remove bad SQL statements from browser communications. IMO this is the easiest, and most probable DB hack. (I found this out the hard way also ) Anyway just a helpfull suggestion. Then again I could be way off base... Just sounds higly likely if the DB is all they got.
Good luck, hope you back up soon.
