Let me assure you, it is.
From the blog (direct quote, highlighting is mine): "As said earlier, we can have the ending open if allowed by you or we can stack the cards in favor of Theology Council so that we after the arc go back to a T2 status quo for the Empire, but without any Tetrimon Cult (who will be forever branded traitors of the Empire and utterly wiped out)."
In short, it simply gives CCP the option of deciding which direction to move EVE's Prime Fiction at the end of the arc, or to allow unfolding events to determine what is to follow."
Or in short. CCP reserves the right to make the story end in whichever way they choose.
The "rigging" really isn't a problem for me, it happens in a lot of large in game events (in many games). What really hurts is that CCP gives up the above quote, and then lies and tries to spin it as "no, this isn't considered fixing a event". In addition they insult our inteligence in thinking that we have a very low reading comprehension.

CCP owns the game. CCP needs to schedule people to support a story arc. Not all story arcs result in the same amount of time spent. Time is money.

That's why we play. We're hooked.

maybe you need to train advanced understanding level 1 ?
what is being said is that CCP has a choice to change how the story events go and this makes sense since if it was 100% player controlled then npc factions would cease to exist eventually
it does not mean that one player got to win some item from the event over another even though he was supposed to lose
so tell me where exactly you are being hurt ?

i would think that it is sad if a old player leave because of something like this...
although i can't help wondering WHY it is that no one in the corp got any idea about the bug in the pos... i mean if there is a bug you should think the person mentions it in corp chat or ask some one exspecially when its about the factory which is used very oftend. and why was it that he didn't notice them before he entered the corp?! as ccp states themselve "because some players don't like it, we always tell them before doing it etc".
there is just alot of loop holes in this chase and personally i think that is a bit wierd..
on secound notice WHY is it even possible to cheat so a investigation is needed? i know from other mmo's that its simply not possible for them to do it, because of the security mechanics, and trying to use any commands or logging in on your work account from anywhere else then the work computer will at once log you of and/or make a log and notice the security that you have tryid it and done this and this. which you will have to have a DAMN good reason for doing if you don't want to get fired right away. so why is it so much different in ccp?!
i would really love to know how the security works, because from what i have heard/read/seen there is as good as non other then the words of the employee's. which in this day and age doesn't mean anything because not keeping your word is no biggi now a days.

Ive been playing since the first month the game came out. I love eve and think this is the most indepth complicated games around.
That said, after this latest scandal I may have to call it a day.
One issue that stands out in my mind is the fact that Ive had a research agent for over three years, do missions quite often, have all my research skills up and I have never ever gotten an offer. Meanwhile, we all know BoB has Countless Tech 2 BPO's. I mean come on, throw me a friggin bone here. Ill take a Bantam BPO at this point. I Just want to know that all the time I put into that charade was worth something.
Isk is not very easy to make in this game, to earn a good amount , its almost like eve is a second job sometime, with the time commitment it takes...Unless tech 2 BPO's get handed thrown into your lap, has we know has happened before .
I like CCP, I like everyone I met at the Fanfest. But I will not stand for corruption.
Then be my guest: Leave the game!! I wont hold you back!
The game aint rigged! Finito! 1 dev where involved in some cheating, without the knowledge of CCP! CCP acted on the cheating like 6-7 months before it got public! Its all in the thread from february!
So please!!! Can you let this topic DIE!!!??? It have after all been deemed closed and dead since february!!!
ADDED: Yes, as Winterblink showed you, the case that just came up proved the Dev in question Innocent. So that is not a case at all!

So what is it that you know that we do not? Go on..
t20 cheated for one year. Do you not understand corruption. Devs are cheating in BoB and this needs to be stopped. Now we see it for the 2nd time, finally truth comes out, devs actually on msn with players. This is just going to far. Does ccp honestly care about cheating, they rehired t20, they are after the money imho. Your extremely clueless and need to stfu.

Are you aware that in every MMO there are GMs who play as players and there are good reasons for this from an objective perspective. They can experience the game as the players do and it helps them figure out ways of altering game play to make the game more fun. The problems come when the human factor gets involved. I'll share a story of the downfall of Asheron's Call as my example. The GMs were all very bored with the 6-8 normal game servers and all went over to the PVP server and played there, for the next year almost every game update and patch and fix was done to improve PVP in the game at the expense of storyline content, and new features for the 90% of the players who didn't PVP. AC bled players... then a hack for the game came out that if used made you almost un-killable in the game and the PVPers dove on it in droves, it was detectable when used and they claimed they had lists of the abusers. The company spend SIX MONTHS trying to fix the exploit instead of just banning accounts that were using the exploit. In that six months AC lost more and more and more players because the repeated exploit use, no new content, and all game dev focus being on PVP. What was a very promising game with an innovative setting turned into crap. The GMs were too focused on their own characters' fun to be bothered with the 90% of the game who didn't play that way. And thus lost almost all their player base except the PVPers.... This lesson should be learned CCP. Have all your staff even on their personal accounts on non-company time largely focusing on the big big big alliances and big big big things in the game and as human beings it alters the perspective on game play, from what's fun, to what's fair, to who are good players, and who are bad. Personal relationships get made and people have a hard time thinking poorly of their friends and acquaintances because to do so makes them look bad. This is human nature. Why this is even worse in eve has to do with the game design paradigm. Losses mean something, when your ship goes down you lose it, and everything on board, when you get podded you lose your implants. You dont appear at a resurrection point with all your stuff and a minor penalty for a few hours, or no penalty at all. Days, Hours, Months, Years of hard game play are lost in seconds. Its demoralizing, its stressful, and I know many people who won't play eve because of it, or have quit. What makes it worse is when known unbalanced things are left untouched for months, when exploiters are largely left unchecked its even further demoralizing and you end up not wanting to play anymore I quit for a year out of frustration and came back, and honestly i'm thinking of quitting again nothing has really changed. You guys think EvE players are whiners, oh boy wait until the Vampire crowd plays your new game and something similar to these events happens there. You will be in for a treat dealing with people who have been passionate about their game system for a decade or more. You better get a handle on this stuff now and put some policies and rules in place for your employees and volunteers NOW and test them in regards to EvE or you are in for a world of pain instead of a world of darkness. Death and losses mean something in EvE, territory means something in EvE... this is vastly different than almost any other MMO out there as such CCP you need to really look at your Employees as players policies and put some control in, do some serious damage-control on whats already happened, and move forward in a more open and honest way if you want this to stop. Otherwise, it won't. The revelations will continue to come from the whistle-blowers and it will continue to tarnish EvE and CCP's reputation. Do something, don't just talk. You don't need to name names or fire employees people just want to know something effective is being done and reparations are being made. ____ __ ________ _sig below_ the jet cans are made so that people that dont mine can get free ore

You know, trust doesn't come magically from thin air. There was a problem... 6 month ago ? and people are still spamming about it now.
CCP did amend for it's fault and change its organization to avoid those future problems. They admitted to the problem and put some solutions in place. And some people are still going on ranting that CCP devs cheats...
The only reason why "trust" isn't back, is because some players spam constantly about it, and others believe it. Month after the facts and given the step that have been taken, it's time to forget the past...

1) game is good
2) allegations seems to be wrong/made up ( at least to a high-degree)
3) If there are still problems like some truth in the MSN contact thing and CCP doesn't try to avoid it in the future, they shoot themselves in the feet. Whenever something like that leads to a scandal, it will affect them more then me, so they should have a self-interest to do things correctly.

I can only speak of T2 BPOs, and I know of a VERY small (less than five members) non-alliance and un-affiliated corporation that has just shy of ten T2 equipment (not ammunition) BPOs last time I checked. I think you'll find that there's rather a lot of that in the game. Might I also suggest you look up the TRUST website? They're definitely not affiliated with BoB, and they have a serious amount of T2 BPOs, both ships and equipment.
I'm not even going to begin trying to list them all. I remember looking before invention came out, and there weren't many T2 items they couldn't make practically on demand and at rock-bottom prices. Your fears in this instance are not justified, in my opinion.

Oh, and thank you for telling me how to make isk....you were very informative
but please tell us how mush time it takes to make over 100 million in a day doing "high level missions". The most ive made from a single mission including bounties is 15 million, and thats rare. On average its between 7 to 10 million isk per mission. I make a bit more If I go after all the loot in my 4 tractor beam fitted destroyer but it take longer. A mission can take as long as 2 hours or more depending on the mission, or as little as 15 minutes. So to make over 100 million, thats a good chunk of time,
If 15m is the most u got out of a mission then u been doing somthing wrong. GE give more then that in bounties add in loot/salvage if you do them and u get more then 30m. And if your charcter is as old as you say it is then it's probably should be able to do GE faster then 2 hours.
