Dear Vortex Inc.
Your payment of 5 Million ISK for the safe passage is past due.
Please contact us so we can settle your debt to us. Also, send us your new address so we can send you any future bills.
If said payment isn't received VERY soon, we will be forced to "liquidate" your assets to cover your debt.
Thank you and have a nice day

Since there has been no reply, and you have failed to make contact with us, we have been forced to send you to our Collections Department.
Be assured that they have the time, money, and shiny dispositions to get the job done.
Our apologies if by some accident your pods are destroyed in the process of liquidating your assets.
We will try and recover your frozen corpses if this does happen and send pictures to your relatives for positive identification.

Dear Red Corsairs, We apologize for the late payment. As I write, we are gathering the funds and minerals needed to put together One Supersize Can of Genuine Whoop-Ass. Please look for it in the coming weeks.
Sincerely, Disgruntled Consumer

Dear Disgruntled Consumer,
While we appreciate your hard work we have no need of your said can.
We have many blueprint copies of this "can" and are producing and handing them out for free to all people.
Some people like our product so much they come back for seconds.

I have a can in the back of my ship but I use it for something else...
----------------------------------------------- In space no one can hear you scream...unless you scream on the radio, then everybody on that channel can hear you...but only if your in a ship, because they wouldn't hear you if you were in space and screamed into the radio ----------------------------------------------- |

I doubt youl get payed...
You should stick to cash now deals :D
people might think about investing those 5mil into clearing your presence instead of just giving it to you or something :p
Originally by: cashman It's time for Eris to get a clue. CCP should make a statement about this.
It's the exact same things as what Zombie did, you may not attack in "safe-areas" (empire/within sentry range) without loosing your ship.

Vortex can think all it likes about 'investing' the 5 million in clearing us, We will happily tear another 10 million chunk out of their hide.
In honesty, the 5 million we demanded was a pittance. I felt sorry for them after they tried to ambush 4 of our pilots. In the ensuing battle corsairs destroyed 10 ships of Vortex or their allies without a single loss.
The low demand was in light of knowing their weakened state. We certainly won't be making any such concession in the future.
You can run Vortex.

I truly believe that small corporation have more important things to worry about then paying 5 million randsom money to pirate corps such as yourself.
Any selfrespecting CEO would rather sacrifice its ships and pods to you then pay you because of the knowledge that paying you cash money will only make you stronger and increase the threat instead of keep it at bay.
While i would never agree with paying any randsom money to any pirating corporation i hope you raise some money soon because RC is slowly but surely outstaying its welcome in Imperial space. Facilities inside the republic are for lawbiding hard working Minmatar citizens and not ment for the parasites that feast on their hard work.
While i recognize that everyone in the EVE universe is simply trying to 'get by' in their way i believe that 'the easy way' should be hard work and honest bussines and not destroying hard work and honest busines.
I have personally lost part of the corp strenght to some of your goons at a time when it hurt us fairly badly. There was no provocation before the attack and we did not receive any option to pay any fees to avoid the attack in question. We simply lost one of our flagships without alternate options. Although your goon gaznack did offer us the option to pay him 3 million AFTER he and his companion destroyed our 7 million ship. He also vaguely mentioned something about us who should have payed but didnt and now we lost a pod and a ship wich was much more expensive. I agree on the ship although i am fairly sure that he squarly failed to destroy my capsule. Furthermore we were never given the option to pay any randsoms!
Now that the loss of funds and ships have been more then made up for i am not the type to hold any grudges. Although in technicality it would be me full right to 'demand' lost revenue and corporate funds from you in the form of isks. I am not the type to go trough long and boring/non-profitable dealings such as corporate wars with various pirate clans who have in the past cost us money although i will say that you and yours are no longer welcome in the lower half of the metropolis region and that we will KOS any RC in our part of space seeying as some of your goons have so blatently returned the same favor to lock and fire without provocation.
Untill further 'griefings' take place we retain a neutral/defensive stance and i hope you and yours can return the 'favor'.
Signed

Ulendar,
Though I would disagree with parts of your statement, I must admit I was impressed by its sincerity. Firsly, lets present some of the facts from our point of view.
We are a pirate clan, outlawed by CONCORD and we indeed do not recognise the legitimacy of the CONCORD treaties whatsoever.
We no doubt had hijacked or destroyed several Vortex vessels, which led to a climax one day when 4 of our pilots were besieged within a station by over a dozen Vortex vessels and their allies. After the arrival of 2 other Corsairs this situation was turned around and led to a rout, ending with the destruction of 10 of the enemies ships without loss to our own.
The Corsairs then made their demands to Vortex for the pitiful sum of 5 million isk. This was in light of their weakened condition. Some of their pilots had lost their lives several times in the past few days. No answer was forthcoming.
We raided their system several days later and after destroying a small number of ships held their leader to siege in their station. The demand for 5 million was again made. This payment was for the complete cease of piracy against their corporation indefinitely. I allowed them a 48 hour grace period with which to find their funds, an amount their CEO claimed they could make.
48 hours later, Vortex had left the constellation. 'Run for the hills' as it were. We never received any payment, and the truce was then over.
So what is the point of my relating of this tale? Simply that we have indeed in the past offered quarter to our enemies. We assume that some CEO's are smart enough to know that whatever the outcome of battle with us, we will damage their operations to the tune of millions more isk than that we are asking.
We are a bloody and violent crew, and we certainly make no apology for it. I despise the foreign traders that exploit our tribal space. But if you should ever wonder why there is less negotiation from us in future it is because no one is prepared to bargain. Even for their lives it seems. The result is therefore not surprising.
The Khan of the Red Corsairs.

Dear Vortex, Inc.
We occasionally witness Red Corsairs haunting certain jumpgates and asteroid belts and we've finally started shooing them away, as needed.
Please let us know if you need any assistance in reducing your debt load to that corporation.

Vacuole,
It was good to see not all of our Minmatar brothers and sisters have lost their warrior spirit.
It is a shame that you threw off the amarian chains of slavery only to pick up the economic chains that the rest of the empires were so quickly to place before us.
If you were among the group of cruisers that appeared in Amamake the other night, then I apologize for not being able to stick around.
It was a great honor you did us by bringing; I believe 6 or so cruisers; to deal with us.
Many continue to send their poorly trained rock killers at us thinking that we would sit as still as the asteroids they so love to mine.
I look forward to our future meetings.

I can understand the Honorable profession of the Pirate, but if your Clan is opposed to the other empires and is wanting to stand up for the Min race, why were their Red Corsairs destroying and podding Min Ships from a Jumpgate. I assure you that the small corps that I ID'ed after their destruction were small enough not to have provoked any wrath for the Corsairs, and so I can presume that these were random acts of piracy. Might I suggest that if you are going to rob your own, that you do not Pod, unless the people in question are at war with you. |

Vampire:
You know how those feisty Minmatars are. Love-of-country as lip service, strong-willed, independent, and usually selfish and short-sighted just below the surface.
I guess these guys are just flexing their independent muscles and I give them credit for making no bones about their intentions.
I'm a little worried about them, though. The likes of Crepiscule are exactly the type that ruined their once beautiful home planet of Matar. Have you been there yet? To say it's been exploited is a gross understatement, but you can still see a hint of its former beauty.
Crepiscule and his rag-tag band of junior pirates would subjugate everything for their own immediate needs and desires, and this is fine I guess. I, personally, feel a healthy balance is in the best interests of all.
There's an ancient economic adage of unknown origins that says that the interests of the individual is best served when said individual works for himself *AND* the group, whomever that group may be.
Like a nasty virus, Crepiscule and his gang, if left unchecked, expand and infect exponentially and eventually destroy their own host, and habitat. In the short-term, I'm sure they see riches beyond their wildest dreams. It's the long term picture that will probably not be so kind to these guys.
I wish them luck, especially with our next encounter.

Even the halls of power on Matar are infected with the disease that inflicts the galaxy. Though we are branded exiles, we will always remain true to the ways of our ancestors.
The blood of the Starkmanir runs strong in our clan and so has our rage, that so many of our brothers have grown complacent, happy to pursue profit while the Starkmanir languish in Amarr chains.
Even Maaletu Shakor, the once great warrior, has turned to soft words and shallow hopes since his 'brain washing'.
I regret the of deaths of some our brothers in this most turbulent time. We have just left Matar and struggle against foreigners in our own space! We are warriors for whom the rebellion will never end until foreign influence is gone from our beloved world, and our seven tribes unite as one.
Call us what you will. From the experience you have of us, you know full well, words are pointless in the vaccuum of space.

He was with us for a short while. His unconventional methods for gathering information from Amarrian captives made even the most blood thirsty Corsiar squimish.
He told to leave the clan shortly there after.
