Edited by: Rebellion on 10/06/2007 11:12:56 BoB wasn't made overnight.
You see people reminisce the glory days of old alliances, and say that just like them, BoB will collapse on its own. They probably don't remember that the opponents of those old alliances were, in fact, BoB in different forms. We are built on a different system compared to them. What made them collapse will not work on us, as in the battle of systems in the past, we have already come out ahead.
BoB didn't become organized and disciplined overnight either.
One of the things we have tried to show allies, even enemies, is that discipline achieves a lot in EVE. If not for the scandal a few months ago, perhaps people would finally see what kind of challenge BoB puts forth to 0.0. It's a challenge for someone, some group, to understand what we are, imitate what we are successful with, and beat us at our own game. The reason for this challenge is that only by getting beaten can we improve our style in great advances. As we all improve, so does EVE improve as well. I believe this because as I see how EVE has evolved from its beginnings into what it is now, there is a net increase in the favorable level of sophistication to its gameplay. Don't be misled by the outcries against elements of the game that some or many people don't like. How things are now are vastly better to how they were long ago. And this is because of continuous warfare at escalating levels of commitment. A next level of warfare will be born when one entity matches BoB at its own game, with fewer numbers.
Beating BoB by force of numbers alone may just herald a sort of Dark Age for EVE. Where discipline would be lost, and war reduced to something requiring a lesser scope of commitment from the combatants.
To those that can see through the noise, and analyze BoB with the right eyes. Who can take what works and improve on what does not. Who will defeat our fleets and force us to evolve or die. To those who will fight us in the future, I await your coming.
