Originally by: DarkElf to this day i still do not understand why so many ppl eject from ships. It's not that i don't appreciate it when ppl do it but they gain nothing. there is more chance of u being podded, u don't get the insurance payout and u have no fun and no chance of taking down at least 1 of them with u.

Not from inexperienced/casual/gloating pirates. Pods warp extremely quickly and some of my corp mates, who've gottn caught with their pants down, have saved their very expensive implants at the cost of loosing some much cheaper fittings + ship.
In this, I'd have fought or hit the "self-destruct" button.
I can get my pod away baring three phenomina 100% of the time.
The first of these is lag. There was a time when I lagged during a fight, and went from being in my ship at half armor to a station. Nothing you can do here, but its happened only once to me. Petitioning usually gets you back your implants.
The second is being popped over/near a station and getting hung up on the station (not the case here.)
And the third is very difficult to do, but it involves at least 3 large smartbombs, and even then doesn't always work.
-Karlemgne
4, you get popped inside a bubble.
I've never heard of a pod bumping into a station like that though, because they warp instantly from their currentlocation with 0 speedup iirc.

Me thinks that this LMAAOOO is some M34N corp member that I've only seen once, smacking in local, of course. His name was L33T something.
And just for the record. I have only posted with my main on this thread.

Karl, is it possible he "thought" he activated self-destruct before ejecting but it didn't happen?

He ejected and warped so fast I don't think he would have had a chance to select self-destruct. Don't think any of us have ever been in such a hurry to stop firing

Definitely, cause the new goals have nothing to do with parking your ship at the Egge gates 24/7

Pretty much what Zeno said. He was out of his ship the second the first scramble point was on him. Then, when we discovered him docked up in a system one jump away, we razed him a bit, and he never said anything about self-destruct.
I believe he said something like, "well at least I have my implants."
