Here we go again, I wont give up on the Guristas ancestor theme :P
1 to 3 are another attempt at having the flag going through some rough weather and leaving the textile a bit ripped in a certain pattern the wind has been blowing. Also fixed some on the hour-glass to make it more visible in the later pics, I like it when its not that visible (adding to the weathered look) but if you want it to instantly recognizable...

I like keeping things simple, so this fisrt flag is my preferred one. No need of skulls, bones and such, your prey will know who you are when you rise your flag, the Bloody Dawn.
Pretty much weathered ;)
For privateering purposes, you can add the sponsoring flag (the union jack here, any other country can be added, of course)
Those are my submits for pirating and privateering. I think simple flags are easier to recognize... and flag s are for recognition purposes :D Anyway, if you like objects in flags, here you got some.
The first is the one i like the most: a simple drawn of a dangerous animal
I like this rat head in engraving-style (donŠt know if the word of the style is correct in english :P). It fit 1700~ styles, but i think maybe itŠs too complex for a flag.
And last, the skull. I donŠt like it, too cliche, but it's the traditional image :D
If i win, i can made some alterations if you want

Haha, I love this contest, didnt know making flags would be this fun :P
Here we go again...I took another look and felt the skull was a bit too 'complicated'. I simplified it a bit and added some small sewing-strings as it was stitched on to the flag. Now the skull could be constructed as if it was cutout from a piece of cloth. Same goes for the hourglass and heart (though hard to see on the red)

I got prize number 3, won 50m. Not sure who got 1 or 2. I had higher hopes for all the effort I went to, even producing 10 different versions on request and emailing them in, but it was fun making pirate flags :).
