Okay so the bulk of the TNA agree that our name is stupid and utterly retarted. So now to launch our new campaing and our new alliance we are doing a naming contest. 50 Million ISK to the one who can come up with the best name for the new Venal Alliance. Now we know thee will be flames so be it but this will add a bit of fun to the process. Contest will be open for 1 week and a half.

I could definitely use 50M so I can finally afford a damned battleship.
You know what would make the naming process easier? If there was an open statement of the aims and goals of the new alliance, that way people could create a fitting name rather than just post something.
So without further waiting, my first suggestion is (if I think up others I'll post them) :

As a general guideline for how the new "allians" should be named, I think it should reflect how it is ruled
(i.e it can't be called Venal Empire if no empire are selected and so on...)
Otherwize I don't think it's nessasary to include any link to witch region or terrerory it affects (those things can change anyway)
I will give this some thought and then win a 50M isk naming competition

Many people have been using TNA with an i in it to make it TiNA. I propose we use the following name:
The Interim Venal Alliance - TINA
in recognition of the fact that nothing lasts forever and that things beyond our control will inevitably result in future changes :)

How about "Pi"? It isn't an acronym but the good sides of it are:
1.) Short
2.) Easy to speak
3.) It provides something for use as logo on forums, etc.
I propose to use it without anything else, not "Pi Alliance" or whatever but just plain simple "Pi".
PS: Cause the number called Pi is actually something like 3.141.... it would also somehow include the fact that it is the 3rd alliance.

Since our area of control/influence might encompass more than just Venal, we should not use Venal in our name.
