I thought I'd post something interesting on the forum as there seems to be a shortage of anything of the sort:
SOMETHING INTERESTING
Just so this has a topic.
1. How does someone "reek of Carebear"? I swear, that's one of the most ridiculous uses of the English language I've ever read.
2. Hulkageddon: The children doing this would be better off stripping down to their shorts and running around in circles giggling until they pass out from hyperventilation. They should then be given a glass of warm milk and ushered off to beddy-bye...after brushing their teeth.
3. Piracy in EVE without law enforcement: Yeah, right. Mean old piwates.
4. Tippia should open The EVE Merchant University. (I so hate to compliment Tippia.)
5. How do you recruit for a corp? Duh. Use common sense. It worked for AT&T
SOMETHING INTERESTING (Figured it bears repeating.)

How does someone "reek of Carebear"? I swear, that's one of the most ridiculous uses of the English language I've ever read. This ones easy if you know why they hate carebears. You see it all goes back to there childhoods when they liked to play with girls toys, there families where probably somewhat shocked and 'broke the habit' , leading to resent in the poor homose.. er I mean child which as we can still see clearly to this day they have projected on to the once love of there poor little lives. Obviously smell is supposed to be the sense most related to memory, so next time someone says it just think of the poor little boy snuggled up with his favourite carebear, enjoying that heady odour they now claim to hate. 2. Hulkageddon: The children doing this would be better off stripping down to their shorts and running around in circles giggling until they pass out from hyperventilation. They should then be given a glass of warm milk and ushered off to beddy-bye...after brushing their teeth. I think this maybe somehow relates to the same childhood scarring and they now want to regress to before a time when they where propelry potty trained. You'll notice a lot of them seem to be obbsesed with pooping3. Piracy in EVE without law enforcement: Yeah, right. Mean old piwates. Pirates yada yada, feel sorry for the smucks, sitting on gates all day looking for noob ships to pop, all cos they think it somehow makes them tough, terrible thing peer pressure you know4. Tippia should open The EVE Merchant University. (I so hate to compliment Tippia.) Or write 'Post shredding 101, how to argue, win and still look like an A**' 5. How do you recruit for a corp? Duh. Use common sense. It worked for AT&T Now Now, we learn by asking, that which is obvious to me might not be to you.SOMETHING INTERESTING (Figured it bears repeating.)
Well it was a distarction for a couple of minutes, kinda think your overselling the interesting angle though

cry moar? The American public's reaction to the change was poor and the new cola was a major marketing failure. The subsequent reintroduction of Coke's original formula, re-branded as "Coca-Cola Classic", resulted in a significant gain in sales, leading to speculation that the introduction of the New Coke formula was just a marketing ploy |

Yes of course...Chris Hitchens, Stephen Fry, Richard Dawkins, all drinkers and all very stupid men .....seriously, any of those guys would dump more intelligence in the toilet when they sh*t than you will ever have. |

1) its just an EVEification of a common phrasing whens something is painfully obvious and to the party speaking, offensive.
2) Hulkaggedon is one of the best things to come to EVE, as it is 100% player driven. I hate the attitude of some of the participants, but there are miners who are just as terrible. This is EVE.
3) I'm not sure what your point is. Pirates are mean? Duh...
4) Tippia is great. Even if he argues just for the sake of arguing, he is usually right. Even helped me out long ago to understand something (back on the old forums... and my old character now that I think of it...).
5) I don't know, I don't care. Not my job. Still manage to recruit a few folks somehow. |

Bump one of your other threads? They were better written and more engaging, though I did like the description of the child running in circles.
I think Tipsy does a search for their name, to find any thread that they might be mentioned in on a daily basis, start using a Harry Potthead reference, such as "They who shall not be named."
Corina Jarr wrote:... 3) I'm not sure what your point is. Pirates are mean? Duh... ...
Being a pirate would mean something if we could issue bounty contracts that worked and if they had some real consequences. For now, they aren't daring, giving the system the finger or cool, they are just jerks that camp gates like miners camp rocks. Ideas and stuff EVE - the game of sand castles, either building them or kicking them down. |

Just seems like pirates, compared to what pirating really involves, sorta get a free ride in EVE. It's a no risk occupation. Whether it is profitable is relative, but having something hot on your tail is part of the life of a pirate.
To her it doesn't matter much.-á It's chasms have been leapt, and she leans upon the skepticism of her chosen fate. |
