I was contacted yesterday by the character Swete Dreams who was trying to start a corp called The Suicide Show, and told me he was all about trying to get some Pilots together to take out Hulk Class Macro Miners in Empire.
We missed our first target only because we miss timed the mining cycle by about 12 seconds, other wise one more Caracal would have had time to fire and that would have meant a kill. We lost 3 Caracals out of a sqdn of 8 and a few launchers but the hulk was 2/3 threw structure before it auto warped. It was never seen again, but today the Pilot was back in a Cov.
We scooped and salvaged our own wrecks and didn't mind loosing a few ships.
I would like to know if there is a CCP punishment for game play like this or as long as we are willing to sacrifce ships and sec stat to Concord we will be allowed to continue?

Well, technically the pilot could petition you for harrasment if you keep, harrassing him. But barring that, there's nothing to stop you, if, as you say, you don't mind loosing ships and sec status.

Isk farmers usually work a belt or system clean, they usually have gobble-D-**** names and never know they are getting robbed, real miners tag their cans, and Macro miners work from start up to shut down everyday. They just follow the same pattern over and over again. CCP does little or nothing to stop them which only perpetuates the need for new players to buy ISK beacause all the roid belts are usually mined out 4 or 5 hours after start up, well thats the way it is in Empire anyway.
Be safe and tag your cans, report macro miners and farmers to macrointel. Have fun and fly with attitude.

I often don't bother to tag mine.
But who cares if they're macros or chinese farmers. Both are blights on EVE that need to be removed.

The easyest way to get rid of Macro miners and isk farmers would be that noone buys ISk on their websites.
ah well and if you are ritch and need isk then simply buy and sell some GTC's there are always some dudes that lack RL$ to found thier playtime.
Itsreally as easy as it sounds:
Tell everyone in your corp why every should not Buy money on websites.
Easy as that!
And in the meantime i wish you mutch targets with your macrominer Hunt site.
(we should gather all macro hunters in an Alliance and then have contacts to report the macroers )

We kleptomaniacs are planning to create a highsec pirate wing , that will include a suicide ganksquad. Macros of lowsec drop crap loot , but things are different for highsec macro miners in T2 barges.
Your contacts would be very useful to us. Be sure to post about it on the kleptomaniacs forum.

Oh, just for the sake of correctness, people seem to throw the term "macro miner" around as a blanket term for behaviors that might be completely legitimate under the EULA (well, the mining part, obviously isk selling isn't).

Being generally on your side, I nevertheless call BS on the above statement. My main (I'm to lazy to log off and on) is an occasional Empire miner and there is plenty of ore left even in the crowded parts of Empire. Just gotta go to 0.6, 0.5 and not 1.0.

I'm not really doing anything with my 5.0 sec status. Would it be possible for me to join you guys (not your corp, have no desire/need to leave mine) for a few days until I drop to -2.0 or so? Then I'll rat my standing back up and then maybe do it again? It sounds like a worthwhile effort, although I'd like some assurance that these guys really are macro-miners.
I'll even bring my own ships. :)

Sounds like a good idea. I don't mind suicide ganking them in empire. I gank them daily where I live as they macro rat. Lots of fun. Lots of NICE t2 and named loot (full complement of arbalest launchers on most of their ravens!). I think they are worth a ship or two.
On the topic of macros, I know of many where I live. Some have left and some we gank almost daily when they log in and enter our space in fully t2 fitted ravens and macks.
Two recently left my home and joined Xelas doomsday corp, good atleast they aren't here, and hopefully Xelas will kick them out when they find them. Eve-mail me and I'll send you a link to a mailing list specific to my region which has about 10-20 known macros listed.

Suicide ganking is getting a huge nerf next patch, so git 'er done while you can.
AFIAK there is nothing wrong with suicide ganking unless: You are recycling alts, or harassing new players in starting systems.

Something constantly bothers me when I read threads like this; how do you know that the player is macro mining? How do you know the player is a <ethnicity> farmer? I've been harassed in my Mack because I Ice mine in high security, so your methods are not fool proof.
There are dangerous parallels between this and the anti-semitism present in **** Germany. Might as well rename your corporation the ****** Youth and just be done with it.

Let's be realistic here, you can tell who the isk farmers are rather easily. Now if you say no action should be taken against them because you have no problem with people buying isk, well I disagree but that is at least a logical argument. But let's not pretend real players are so often mistaken for them or that going after them is some sort of **** racism.
