Could low sec players get the same message when trying to jump into high sec my own stupidity Is really ****ing me off =(? |

well there's a few things you can do to help
-set autopilot settings (in the map interface) to prefer lowsec only
-check "next system in route" sec status
-if no route is defined and you wanna jump, check the system's gate by right clicking and doing "add as first waypoint" and check next system in route sec status

I think the OP meant jumping into highsec by accident. Like , trying to orbit a highsec gate and jumping instead

Been there, done that. Clicked orbit and missed. Though "Ack! Why am I jumping! *cry*". Luckily I was in a malediction at the time and got back to the gate before the navy blob got me.
Also jumped after a thorax in my stabber, to the same result.
Would hate to jump into high sec in a slow expensive ship.

After about 7 tries, I made it out of a .6 system with my muninn (trying to undock). I was quite proud of that feat :D It was istabbed though :(
Done that a few times, roaming lowsec and jump into a .5 or .6, though I was poor when I was still pirating  so they were only AFs/inties and I managed to warp to the next gate.

When my UI crashed all my warning dialogues were reinstated.
I went from 0.0 to low sec and I got a warning that I was about to enter low sec. I thought hmmm, that's useful as low sec is typically more dangerous than 0.0.
Later I pushed a whole bunch of F keys got a warning that I was about to commit a criminal act. A very handy delay as the hauler jumped out. FFS.

I agree, i was chasing a target and was in unknown sysetms and jumped into high sec (0.5), lucky i was in vaga and made it back to the gate and jumped out.
The cearbears get a warning when jumping into low sec, i recon -5 to -10 should be given a warning when jumping to High sec. I dont think they will do anything about it thought as ccp is killing piracy with all there stupid idears.

Lost a very expensive Ishtar to this...just totally spaced for a moment that I could not enter a 1.0 system (Yes im not a real pirate), but a high low sec rating is possibly worse then being a -10 in this case ;) My heart sank as I realized what I had done. I fought to get back to the gate, but alas I poppped about 500m from jump range. I went to work correcting that sec stat real quick after that one...

i suggested it a while back when someone else suggested something similar to the OP, just add the sec status to the gates description.
ie:
(Stargate) Amarr (1.0)

or on multiple occaisions....
lost 2 geddons, god knows how many ceptors etc.
my main grief is with the highsec lottery - the police should have webs and scrams that work within STANDARD parameters, not these ubar ones of doom.

It's not something that I have ever done but I can see how it can happen.
Would also be nice if we could choose to disable all the warnings too though, as mine keep resetting all the god damn time.

It happened to me too, several times actually. Lost 2 ceptors and an arbitrator. 
BUT interestingly enough recently i indeed managed to be drunk and tired enough to jump into hisec (0.5 in this case) with my pilgrim. I thought i was doomed but i at least wanted to fight. So after decloaking i instantly released my drones (only it were 2 med, 3 light instead of 5 med  ) and started my dual rep as soon as necessary.
I indeed tanked them well only problem was cap. I was permajammed so couldn't nos anything. But i had a med injector with 400s. Very slowly the rats died to my drones
and when they were gone i had 1 cap booster charge left.
They didn't respawn or anything. I was just sitting in a 0.5 and couldn't believe my luck.
Anyone has made similar experiences? Are the faction police harder in 0.5 and up? From that experience i'd say a lot of ships (esp. drone ones) with injector should be able to survive such an unpleasent accident.
Well, thats of course as long as you are as lucky as me and no one in a pvp fitted ship decides to join the fun.

I honestly dont think i have ever accidentally jumped into high sec. I have done it a few times and gotten blown up, but it was because my ships were slower than i thought :(
I also could be blocking out the bad memories :P

even worse was when I lost a rax trying to raid a mining cane in a .5 system. I had just gotten back from a protracted ratting vacation and had lost my outlaw status. That was really stupid of me.
