And remember, DPS does not always win the game. Theoretical dps of 1500 might look good, then you realise that it only happens at (for example) 3km range with horrible falloff.. where as a maelstrom might have 1144dps or so with falloff rigs fitte...

Back in the days of pack nos domi *****etc, passive tanks on something other than drakes/myrms etc had their niche, and actually worked, mostly wardecs etc with known enemies.

And don't forget, if you have money to burn, a maelstrom and are bored.. simply strap on a capital shield booster, rigs and modules needed to do it and laugh as it becomes the best non-cap ship tank in the game(and that's about it with that setup).

Yeah EC- is next to Torrinos. Great place to camp, we've had a 'few' fun times there and yes.. sometimes the bubble is a few jumps in... if there's no camp there then look out further in :D
