I know that anyone prefer heavy assault or other bigger ships but true to be told vary few fly expensive ships, so my question is what are people flying lately (not only U but your friends)?

Low sec solitude pvp fights i saw recently were mostly BSes (domis, typhoon, megathrons, scorpion), BCs of all kinds, and vagabonds.

Look up a list of ships that draw the most complaints and you will have the most popular pvp ships.

I see lots of: - Recons (Rapier/Falcon) - HACs (Vaga, Ishtar, Zealot) - Battleships (Megathron, Apoc, Raven) - Interceptors (Crow, Ares) - Interdictors (Heretic, Sabre) - Ewar frigs (Hyena, Sentinel) - Command ships (Sleipnir, Abso, Astarte, Claymore, Damnation)
I saw a Cormorant or two in a frig gang, and that was pretty funny.

It depends a lot on who you're flying against and what they're tyring to acocmplish. For roaming, Nano-gangs are probably still the most popular, turret battleships are still pretty much required for shooting at big stuff. Always expect to see one or two ships with some kind of tackling bonus ('Ceptors, 'Dictors, Huggins/Rapiers, etc.) in any decent gang. Personally I'm usually in a 'Ceptor/'Dictor, a sniping battleship, or a T2-fitted gank Thorax. -------------------- "I am hard pressed on my right; my centre is giving way; situation excellent; I am attacking." - Ferdinand Foch at the Battle of the Marne |

You kidding me? The Velator can have 2x T2 blasters and 2x T2 Hobgoblins. With all relevant skills to level 5, best possible gear and ammo, as well as a full set of damage implants and gang bonuses, and you can push this baby to 200DPS.

Edited by: ApaKaka on 10/04/2008 10:36:28 The same ships as always. People generally fight closer to home or at ops with T1 BS fleets, and some support to hold people, generally a few intys, falcons or blackbirds for ECM, and maybe huginn or rapiers.
Those who roam use almost exclusively nano (HAC, recons, command ships).
A very effective small gang setup I see a lot in 0.0 is: rapier, vaga, curse, ishtar and a nano-logistic like the scimitar.
Anything smaller is rarely ever used, except in BS fleets where some people prefer BCs to compliment the fleet.
T1 frigs and cruisergangs die very fast out here regardless of how many they are.
