We have begun security ops in which we use alts to scout the other system for campers while one of us on the other side in Luminaire warns everyone inbound if it is safe or not.
Sorry guys, no easy kills for you while FPD is on duty... We're not dumb egnough to take your Uberfied ships head on, oh no. We'll sap you of prey and harrass you until you get bored to death. We're here to take the fun out of pirating.

Why bother? I'll attack when i feel my corp is good and ready. You guys use exploits in Orvolle too btw. Nope not gonna easly draw me in to a fight. Nope, when we do attack it will be when you least expect and 10 to 1 odds, then we'll be gone before you can do anything about it. This is all you deserve killing 1 indi or 1 noob with 5 to 6 battleships

Don't be afraid of me, be afraid of more ppl doing what i am doing. If a a good number of the so called 'carebears' use the anti-pirate doctrines i use you guys would just give up and start mining you'd be so bored.

Well doin pretty good so far only had one other person with me from my corp as a scout. Have'nt seen an increace in pod kills while we were there keeping an eye and informing the public of c0w's whereabouts. In addition, i was able to sit there and blast out Federation Police and anti-pirate propeganda to 100's of ppl. I have received isk donations and even sold some items to people and i made an additional 11 million. All while doing my part to keep people from being podded.
Who says being an anti-pirate aint profitable?
Since we could use more man power, I encourage any persons to contact us, even as an alt you would be usefull as a scout. I can't do this myself 24/7 you know.

You know what, maybe you can make more isk mining or pirating or whatever. That's really not the point. The point is, i am trying to prevent ppl from being podded by pirate losers. And short of blowing you all to hell, which will come eventually, the next best thing is to help people get by your blocades in any way i can.

I will say no more, or i may be banned, stalked and shot dead in my house as i try to play this game...lol

[ooc] hey, im a anti-pirate or even maybe a carebear in the game , but i sure as hell dont want to get rid of the pirates from EVE, they make my in-game life much more intressting and exciting. out of character i love the pirates, they give my character plenty to do. dont think that every carebear thinks like you [/ooc]
I think im in love
with perhaps just a few weak ones here and there that we could easily squash, that would be fun.

why should i worry about corp wars? FPD needs no war to fight pirates. Besides, you still have low sec status and alot of ppl who wanna kill you in empire space. In low sec space you shoot at everyone so it's moot.

bla bla bla. Had so many pirate corps threaten us already yet i do not see any wars in my corp tag. I don't think you can, as undoubtably other corps have already declaired war and your only allowed 3 wars on one corp.

[20]
well then your going to have multiple corps at war with you. What if all three slots are taken up? How you gonna get them to retract war? If control of the war is all controlled by the declairer, they can turn it on and off at will shame on CCP for making it that way. Cause then you could declair war on 3 corps, dstroy some indies, run away undeclair war, declair war on 3 others, then the first 3 can't declair war on you? Somthin's wrong with that picture.

Edited by: Treylon on 14/01/2004 17:46:04 All i have to do is mark all your members, know when you come online, and where you are, login to my n00b alt and taunt you. I have an agent network so i'll know where your at. It will be extremly boring for you, and then some day you might have one cruiser up when everyone else is tired and bored and went to sleep then i come in vaporize you, log off and sleep well. It won't be fun for you beleive me.

Edited by: Treylon on 15/01/2004 17:08:05 Is that the movie the Aurohnen incident? Showing how pirates ***** about the same tricks being used against them? Also the GM response to the incident was astonishingly fast, supporting my accusations.
To bad the link has sucky bandwidth, i would have liked to have seen it.

That would have been extremly unfair. This incident was to verify two things 1. GM's play as pirate alts. 2. They play on T1's or other commercial brodband connections.
1. Is supported by the insta-petition and GM showing.
2. Is supported by the fact they did'nt even seem to be effected by lag.
Besides, don't ya know it's only an exploit when anti-pirates do it?

Today Killer Klowns declaired war on FPD, just because of this thread, and you call me a Troll?
It does'nt matter, as you'll soon see by the anti-pirate doctrine we will follow. I will publish these to my corp's forums for review, and afterwards on these forums.
So that all who wish to fight pirates may have a guide to follow!

Well activity in Orvolle seems to have slowed down a bit. no more 50 - 80 podkills. Most i have seen in a day was 20. I've also noticed c0w has moved back into PF at times. I wonder why...

Edited by: Treylon on 18/01/2004 17:56:31 Treylon's Anti-Pirate Doctrine - an anti-pirate guide This is a guide for the player who wishes to fight pirates and help protect innocent players.
THE PIRATE
A pirate gets jollies in the most part by killing other players, because they know it deprives the player a ship, possibly millions of isk in cargo and equip. Secondly, pirates like to get alot of publicity for what their doing to instill fear and intimidation to the novice player, feeling powerful.
THE ANTI-PIRATE
An anti-pirate's objectives should be the direct opposite as the pirates, as well as the motives for being an anti-pirate. They should seek to preserve innocent players, and take joy in doing so. Opposing pirates on every front, doing whatever it takes to hamper the pirate's activities.
PIRATE TACTICS
In short, pirates tend to want to camp together in large groups, killing anything that comes in. They also use a network of spies and alts to see when an opposing force is approaching. They use alot of sensor boosters for fast targeting with various ECM, jammers and scramblers.
ANTI-PIRATE TACTICS:
It should be the goal of the Anti-Pirate to prevent pirates from claiming victims, first and foremost. After that has been accomplished, more direct measures may be taken against them. Since this is an Anti-Pirate guide, we will go into more details about what can be done, and how.
THE BASICS
Once youÆre comfortable with your combat abilities, you should know some basic game mechanics. First off, be aware of the security rating of the system your in. The security rating can be from 0.0 to 1.0 and is up in the upper left corner of the screen. These numbers will drastically impact what you can and can't do. Another thing which is important is your opponent's security status. Security status is from 10 to -10, again this drastically affects things. You can find someoneÆs security status by clicking on their icon in a local chat or right clicking their ship and showing into, then clicking their avatar. Sentry guns, these are strong weapons that can pop a ship in a few hits, these also must be considered, their maximum range is 50km, beyond that they are of no concern. Sentry guns are small round icons found around gates or stations. I will list the possibilities in a simple list below.
1.0 - .5 system security status. Target is -5 or below, firing upon is ok. -4.9 and above, concord will come and kill you if you fire on them and or sentries will shoot you if in range. And you will take a security rating hit.
.4 to 0.1 system security status. Target is -5 or below, firing upon is ok. -4.9 and above, sentries will open fire on you if in range. And you will take a security hit. Concord will not respond, so if you are out of range of sentry you can fire on -4.9's and above if your willing to take the sec hit. If you were still in visual range of any sentry, do not approach them for at least an hour as they will fire at you as soon as youÆre in range.
0.0 system security status. Anything goes basically, no sentries, no concord. No security hits... this is where pirates have the edge.
(tip: If you are a novice hunter, a good thing to do is camp .4 gates where an occasional pirate may come through. Camp really close to the gate, IF and ONLY IF he is -5, open fire. If the pirate returns fire the sentries will get him, got many a pirate this way.)
STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES
The following will be a list of tips on what behavior and rules of engagements one should follow while serving the role of the anti-pirate. Remember these arenÆt rules, more like guidelines ;p
Always be polite to non-pirates, especially newbies offering help and advice when you can.
Speak with scorn to pirates with much zeal. But avoid spamming and profanity. Going too far can be called harassment.
Always check map for pod kills when traveling. (if you don't know how to use the map, consult the help channel on this)
When venturing out into hostile territory, i.e., high podkills on map, always use alternate characters to scout first. (again ask on help channel in game about these.) Preferably these are one of the three characters with no skills or much equipment invested into it.
Don't engage in open combat with pirates unless you have 5 to 1 odds of success. This means don't attack one pirate ship unless you have 4 other people with you who have equal or better equipment of the pirate ship.
Don't linger around the combat site too long, if you killed the gate campers, collect their loot and leave. If he ran, then leave do not follow. Pirates are quick to bring reinforcements in.
Be as specific and short as you can in your chat when getting ready to engage. For example, don't say "There is a bunch of pirates camping the gate!" Instead say something like "5 pirates camping pf-314 gate!"
Rest of guide ommited. Message Treylon or join channel "FPD" for details
