Well this is what i ment with keeping it global..for someone from england this could sound more familiar than someone who wouldnt be english... Sorry, I understand your point about keeping it global, this is a global game afterall. But it's my ship, my competition and I am English so I'm going to base clues around that as they are far easier for me to work out!

LOL point C. I do have an account but I'm not that stupid as to use my eve character name or even my eve logon name for that matter

PS another little clue, this isn't my main account I purchased it a while ago for a few billion isk so stop guessing at variations of this name!
For the record my main is my business and has naff all to do with my gf's name. She's 35 btw.

Love the competition Mav. And you're right: It's your ship, your rules! As far as us needing to think this out: Its nothing more than a crap shoot basically. You give us some clues, and we use those to eliminate various possibilities, but it's still comes down to a crap shoot! Anyhoo:

The correct answer has been guessed, thanks to everyone who took part I hope you enjoyed this little game !
I'm rather disapointed that it turned into people jumping on the back of good guesses and changing the surname inital but that's my fault for the way I ran the competition.
I will be contacting the winner once the servers are back up and I have checked out the character, if it's a 2 day old alt I will be offering a cash alternative and running another competetion in the future for the ship with different rules.
I will obviously tell you the winner once I have had a chat with them.
I have been really impressed with a couple of peoples attitudes in this whole thing and will be giving 2 x 500m isk prizes away as consolation.

And sorry to gimmemoneyhoney for the little spank. I'm quick on trigger ingame, and I tend to be quick on the trigger on the forum too. Being in Goon, a bit O shoving and pushing is part if everyday life.

Who actually won this? You have to look at this from an outside observer's point of view. It was a great competition but with so many participants, people will expect an answer other than "It's over, somebody won".

Well a shame the comp is over, i had a couple educated guesses left after searching the intarweb for a couple hours looking for traditional english names and ruling the ones out which didn't fit with the clues, hence i came up with my first guess of marissa which was derived from maris or something with in turn is latin for "from the sea" i think..seeing lots jumping on the bandwagon after that is a bit of a bitter pill to swallow but thats the name of the game i guess.. some people are just too lazy to do some thinking of their own  (not just refers to my guess but alot of peoples guesses)i just tried to think for my own and come up with other names than those where already posted.
I loved the competition though, really unique and with a very rare prize. Good idea and good execution and i hope you or someone else will do this somewhat more often.
I'm just generally hoping i won the guardian vex but tbh i would even be very satisfied with a 500 mil consolidation prize
Thnx for doing the competition without asking any form of payment minimizing your own costs. something else for a change 
btw about the keeping it global, it wasnt really a plea for easier clues since it just made the comp a bit harder for us non english which is even more fun actually. You're right about it being your competition and your rules.

Dear all, I spoke to the winner this morning who has generously accepted a cash sum rather than the ship. So good news for you there will be another competition in the future for the Guardian-Vexor.
The winner was ' Love Godess ' with the correct answer ' Kerry F ' , I'm amazed that no-one else jumped on the Kerry bandwagon sooner as the first Kerry answer was at 18:34 and Kerry F was guessed at 19:12 !
500m will be transfered to characters :-
Jade Kach'tiare & Khan Jogre for their comments and sorry you didn't win guys but thanks for getting so into the competetion. Your isk will be transfered later today.
So to clear up a couple of points,
' Kerry ' is an Irish name but commonly used in England.
As for the fish reference , 'Kerry' (the place) in Ireland is world famous for it's trout, a bit vague I know but I didn't want to make it too easy!
