For a short time, join "Amamake travel" channel to see what gates in Amamake system are safe to use.
Pirate problem has got out of hand and it's time to give players the upper hand by updating when it is safe to travel.
This is a free service, but donations are welcome will try to keep a Cov ops on site during peak pirate periods.

I endorse this service. It will waste the time of these people, while people who don't read the forums (90% of the population) will still enter Amamake. Please, help them waste their time while accomplishing nothing.

No more whinethreads about amamake-gateganks. Join the channel or stfu.
Edit: Rem, you should anchor a small can at the ossogur-side of the gate with info about the channel.

Excellent idea, but when's the last time there's been a gatecamp? I've been breezing in, out and around Ama the past few days and haven't seen a single one.
That said, however, it's not that great an idea to advertise this sort of thing on the forums. Pirate alts will infiltrate the channel in the blink of an eye to tell you the gates there mains are camping are clear

True, but there are ways around it. Give a selected group of people VIP-status and have them confirm such statements before changing channelmotto.
You could also widen the area to all of heimatar lowsec so that more people can actually benefit from being in the channel.

There's never a gatecamp there. Feel free to bring your T2/faction fitted ships through anytime of the day.

Keep the channel open, let anyone join and encourage everyone to give their sightings, even if they're already reported. That way, false intel is highlighted by lack of supporting reports and pirate alts giving false intel can be kicked and banned. -Eva-

I guess it depends on the time. I have been in and out of Ama quite a bit without seen a single pirate not to mention a camp. Well there was the one time I accidentally announced in local I was moving my new mammoth without fittings...for some reason I became mighty popular

Considering your age and experience I've gotta ask you to clarify. Are you trying to say you've always seen em dock before logging? Or that they don't log and only dock? Cause I've certainly seen gatecamps scatter when small gangs jump in...

I have. Many times. Though usually they do it shortly before the trouble arrives. Some people seem to have advanced running away at the first sign of an actual fight level 5.
I have also seen people cower in stations for literally hours from inferior numbers.
EDIT: I have also seen people abandon thier corp mates to die, even when faced with inferior numbers. That is always a surprise.

do name and shame these corps.....because until then I shall continue to think that the "log off" corp does not exist. Also since when did Celes Apoc ever go into a fight with inferior numbers....this I have not seen. Oh unless you count the "undock/dock" game a fight against greater odds.
P.S. Piracy is about favorable fights more than it is fair fights. of course "Piracy" could be read "tactics/strategy" aswell.

Why do people still talk this nonsense after so many years?
I refer you to the old celes killboard. Fleets section. Movie section.
Have fun with that.
I think the majority of fleet fights (approx 10 BS+ per side) I have ever been in with Celes we have been outnumbered or had equal numbers. Xelas members were told on thier boards not to engage us unless it was at least 2:1 in thier favour.
And no i'm not naming individual corps in reference to my previous post. I'm talking about things that I have seen over a period of 4 years. Though the running away from inferiour numbers and leaving thier corp mates to die was a reference to certain corporations I saw in fountain.
On more than one occasion I witnessed people not help thier aggressed corp mates outside a station, chosing instead to dock and let them die. It is irrelevant if you believe that or not. Belief is not a requirement of truth.
Also, dear chap who the hell are you? You don't seem to exist on either of our killboards. I must assume you are an alt?
