Hiya all,
The Dev Blog said that all bombers will get 3 launcher slots ;) this is awesome as I always thought manticore had unfair advantage.

When is this patch going to hit and which one of the 4 bombers is going to be hot?

hound for cruise missile pvp. (most low slots for tank)
The rest for bombing... (med slots for shield tank / mwd)

mmm. I guess which ever gets the highest passive speed in cloak mode will have an advantage.
I think hound will be hotter than manticore. Explosive damage is also pretty good since most folks armor tank.

Again, someone asking which is 'best'. There is not best. You need 3 launchers and a cloak, everything else should be geared towards getting away. The only difference between them will be their cpu and grid, which we don't know yet, and the damage type you want.

I fly manticores. Kin damage is useless against interceptors. Exp is were it's at =] Hound ftw.

I'm not really serious though but i am amazed that there haven't been any 'boost the manti' threads yet 
Anyways anyone know what the skill req will be for those bomblaunchers, and.. can u use them in hi sec? (i guess bomblauncher skill is needed but what are the pre reqs to that?)

Interceptors are never resistance tanked and gain no benefits from T2 resists like A.Frigs and HACs. I suspect it makes very little difference what damage type you use.
If anything, the only tanking a interceptor will be doing is fitting a plate, in which case kinetic is their 2nd lowest resist.

I think the bomber changes are live on the test server. Summer(probably late summer) for it to hit TQ.

They have a fair blast radius, roughly 15km, not sure though as I haven't logged onto the test server for a couple of days. It's also sig radius based as I could take a few of them in a bomber before popping myself which reminds me...WHY DO THEY BELONG TO EVE CENTRAL BANK.
I say that because I got amail for myself "victim Acinonyx Jubatus... etc" then the involved parties were "____ bomb/eve central bank"
ecm and neut bombs also do a minor bit of damage along with their effects.
I know one of the prereqs is missile bombardment 5, possibly 1-2 other lower level things aswell.

According to SiSi the skill is bomb Deployment,Which requires Missile Bombardment at 5, missile launcher op(i think) and some other skill.....Can only be used on Stealth bombers....cannot be used in high sec and will prolly get the stealth bomber killed.

The Hound hands down....
It moves faster under cloak, MWD makes it near interceptor like, with cruise missiles. Or moving at 3-4k with bombs.... its going to be insane. lol, start your engines 8)

Do you even believe yourself? One of the best damagetypes, 50% extra dps and alpha strike. I would to see caldari if every race got a droneboat and all other races, except gallente, would get 50% less dps. Nobody gives a **** about bombers, because even if they got 4 launcherslots they are still crap. Thats why it isnt changed before, cause ccp could handle the whining on this one.
ps: thats before the bomb idea, now everyone does give a ****

Right now the answer is none of them are the best because they're not finished and the cloaked speed bonus is currently broken (this is all info from Sisi).
I do like the 4 mids on my nem, but dislike the 2 lows and extremly tight CPU/grid. They pack a massive punch now - 607 base damage with my skills per racial damage missile (eg. thermal for gallente), over 700 with fury. Bombs are fun but extremely situational.

You have to sacrifice one cruise launcher for the bomb launcher.
I tested on sisi, and still donot manage to see why one wouldn't use any other ship over this thing.
Jumping into a gatecamp with ten stealth bombers, decloaking, launching bombs and warping away could work, but I couldn't imagine any other use.
Jihadlike suicide bombing is too expensive considering the latest prices.

Sabre doesn't quite get the same amount of damage out to as long a range though and also it's meant to be speedy, its a interceptor on steroids (its meant to intercept stuff).

Well ... actually suicide gangs consisting of 4 bombers would work out great. 4 jump in, plant bombs, warp away
and then after 15 secs the main fleet comes in and slaughters the remaining forces. Good way to finish off ewar ships such as scorps, falcons in 1 shot.
Many people will have them as favourite ships. The only problem would be the bomb cost ... aka 20mil a piece, but then again you can have 3 bombs or a geddon so time will tell about their usefulness. 3 bombers can kill a bs without dcu (or 4 to be sure), but that's the cost of 80mil total to do it.
The only problem i see are the bombs itself ... each bomb takes 75m3. 3 bombs are like 1 geddon - 225m3 - all minerals for a bs ! So if someone has best refining skills he can scoop to hauler like 20,000m3 all bombs and then transport and refine ... no need for a freighter then, so this is also a problem, which will be needed to looked out for.

The nemesis has a prety big disadvantage in my oppinion, it cannot make it out of its own bombs blast radius even using an MWD so its going to get hit. Yeah you can fit mods but the others dont have too.

All god posts but I think we have to assume that stealth bombers that get the extra slot will all have some other balancing effects, so I think its a case of play it by ear and jump in quick when it becomes obvious which is best.
Hopefully a bit of loving the amarr way - but I can also fly gal and caldari so most of my bases are covered :)

madalup, I know the manticore is the best Stealth bomber right now. I wish it would stay that way as well. If they give all the other stealth bombers an extra launcher, why would anyone in gods name want to fly the manticore? It will be the slowest stealth bomber, and be the same in the damage department as all the others. If you ask me, thats taking away the caldari edge in yet another department.
