Full agreement to this post - The Adressbook is one of the worst I have ever seen.
One more thing. There should be a possibility to find anchored Items. - One of our former Members anchored some containers for the corp and did not post the bookmark - don't see a chance to find them. Also for personal anchored items. If the BM is lost you will hardly find it again. Maybe an Folder in Places with "anchored - items"?

I have nearly 4,000 "Buddies" in my buddy list. Opening up my "Buddy List" causes Eve to freeze up for several minutes.
I asked CCP to delete them all for me, but they ignored me.
When I delete one person it causes the entire list to reload from scratch! Which means I have to wait several minutes for it to load again.
4000 * 7 minutes = 28000 Minutes = ~466 Hours = ~19.5 Days to delete my buddy list!
I like this feature that is suggested. I would also like CCP to just WIPE OUT MY ENTIRE BUDDY LIST, and make it so players can BULK delete people from their buddy list or just wipe out their buddy list on their own!

People who don't like it when other people ask questions fear the trueth.

I believe you can select them all (click the first, scroll down, shift+click the last) then delete them all at once.
On another note: you can create buddy folders easily, but organising your buddies is a nightmare because when you add a buddy, it is only displayed in the 'all buddies' list, and finding and moving them out is very time consuming.
I believe the problem lies in that a buddy can be in multiple buddy groups, thus a buddy is in a) 'all buddys' and b) any other groups you want them in.
Having a group that only shows buddies added in the last hour might help aleviate the problem.

Yes, please. Why not have a default list and when you put them into another folder, they move out of the default folder! One thing you can do as is, is open the all buddies list in a seperate window, then buddies you added since you logged in are at the end of the list. But once you log out and come back in the list gets jumbled, OR if you ever sort the list by name, the new guys are whereever.
I want a nice easy to use list that I can aggregate as I wish and not have to hunt for people I have just added (maybe an option of what folder to put them in when you add them?).

Being a CEO of a corp with only one member this does not impact me too much, but it may in the future.

inbox settings > add your alliance, corp or more than one, as buddies (it should remove the cspa charge). or maybe you're refering to smth else?

thats partially what i was referring to, but i was going deeper than that. Theres many small things here and there that a revamp of the addressbook would hopefully fix (=
All in all i was just saying something needs to be done about that addressbook...

You can select them all (ctrl-a, or ctrl-clicks), but when you try to delete, it deletes only the one under your mouse cursor. I ran into this problem the other night when I was trying to clean up my block list from ISK spammers, had to do it manually one by one, and yes, the list does refresh itself completely after each delete. Fortunately mine was only some fifty names so it didn't take long.
