To be fair that so called Nerf doesn't make the slighest difference! Still *****ing ships to passive tank... try it out on the test server.
Thank you, that is all.

Seruisly, your character is 2.5 years old and you still need a year to train for a CS? Is your character an industrial or something? Mine is an industrial character and I have still been flying a Damnation for the last 4 months.
Honestly, it may be a nerf but a nearly invulnerable passive tank is still very possible due to rigs.

THIS IS BIG GUYS, REALLY COMMAND SHIPS ARE USELESS NOW!!!!
Seriously though, I think they needed SOMETHING, I've seen 4-5 battleships pounding on a command ship for a good few minutes before they manage to break it's tank. No non-capital ship should be able to take that much of a beating. _________________

Word of the devs: someone forgot to tweak BC shield recharge rate when they were introduced. Now it is being fixed.

There's no irony here. I support leaving the game the way it is, there is a reason it is successful and players have to adapt. Vultures are not overpowered immune gods that go around doing 20,000 dps to everyone. They're just ships meant to survive and support, and do so very well pre-patch.
I'm not whining about the current game mechanics. I express dissatisfaction with CCP listening to whiners, and warning it that it may be taking the wrong road - the road to failure.

The irony is:
/whine
People whine on forums, and it gets things changed! So I'm going to whine on the forum for you not to change it, and if you don't change it the way my whine asks, I'm quitting! Because I don't like the way whiners keep getting things changed!
/end whine
If the Devs have accidentally made something overpowered, they're going to fix it. End of. --------

Frankly, forgetting is quite hard to put at ease... so if they FORGOT, and FORGOT to tell us... why not give players who spent time training to rearrange a certain amount of skill points?
Personally, I think twice a year we all should be able to rearrange 1 mil skillpoints. Take off 1 mil, add it anywhere. Its just plain and simple common mistake and nerf readjustments. We should have room for our mistakes too, some of which are CCPs fault.

Skill-point migration? Are you freaking kidding me? Let's have a real-world application here....
When I graduated high school, physical therapy was all the rage. Everyone in my class was going off to get a physical therapy degree at college, along with about 45% of the other graduates in 1999. Flash forward 4 years, to when the PT market has crashed due to there being 10-15 PTs for every PT job...if you go back to your school and say "Well, this physical therapy degree isn't working for me anymore...can I trade it for a different degree?" what do you think that university is going to tell you?
Everyone needs to grow up. Go for the Flavor of the Month, and it'll always turn to ash in your mouth.

I'll take the SPR nerf. I'll take the recharge time nerf. (even though I don't get the point, it's not like you can solowtfpwn without webs and scrams). As for missions a high end CNR beats even the outmost factioned out nighthawk in tank and dps.
I'd agree to a compromise... 15% recharge rate nerf, 10% shield increase though :(

The shield recharge that can currently be achieved is to high, it is a unbalanced ship and thus the change. You can STILL throw tons of mods, and two rigs for shield recharge and your still going to get a 50 shields per second recharge on the ship. Just because you have a passive tank with great resists doesn't mean you should be invensiable and have to have 10 guys shooting you before your tank fails.

God forbid a tank that uses up EVERY mid and low slot, as well as rigs, be able to tank well on a ship that is suppose to tank well regardless.
I can't help but notice this won't address several gallente ships having stupidly good passive tanks, or ships like the absol, which while active, is just a stupidly powerful tank.

People who call passive shield tanks invincible haven't a clue as to what they're talking about.
People act like peak recharge is even remotely comparable to a constant repair amount.
Not to mention a good alpha, and you've gone past the peak, and it's all over. Hell a big enough alpha will outright bypass the peak area turning that '200 shield/sec passive tank' into a wreck.

Edited by: l3lind Man on 13/06/2007 22:30:44 you got owned.. eventually you will realize (if you keep playing) never, ever, ever train for a ship based on one good thing it can do.. like training for a nighthawk to passive tank. train everything, and be able to use everything slowly and you'll always be able to use the fotm.
