Our corporation is struggling with the complexity of administration control in Eve. We are currently unable to expel offline members due to a well documented bug. We feel this is a very serious issue. Corporations have been designed to be the back bone of Eve. Every pilot belongs to corporations somewhere.
Some of these players, unfortunately, have malicious intent in their hearts. For this reason, we feel that recruiting is impossible at this time because we do not have any way to expel these types of players. We have identified a very dangerous issue to corporation standings that must be addressed soon. What if a malicious player was recruited to our corporation and began lowering corporation standing by convoy killing for example?
Some time ago, our CEO had to leave the game due to personal issues. Another loyal member was places as the new CEO. The corporation has 12000 outstanding shares and our CEO (SnapshotAQM) only owns 900 shares. The only other active director, WhitebearAQM, ownes 1050 shares. Two attempts to create shares to fill this void have failed. The first attempt at creating shares was on 2003.12.28 for 20,000 shares and the second attempt was on 2004.01.04 to create 40000 shares. At this time neither the CEO nor the leading director own over 5% of shares and are unable to control the corporation.
Does CCP advise us to disband the corporation and loose months of hard work on establishing assets and standings? If this is the case, it may be necessary for some of us to take our hard earned real-life dollar elsewhere. This is not a threat, it is a plea for help. It is necessary for us to properly manage the corporation to allow us to add hours of entertainment to fellow corporation members.

We are suffering from the Expel bug as well. Fortunately, Icebox, the CEO has 62.5% of the shares, so we can contunie, but the other 37.5% are in the hands of people who no longer play the game.

I know that we had same problem with expelling members by the ceo but the vote out option still works. Try doinga vote to kick out the members that should work.
Also people that still play but went to another corporation with your shares get vote emails for some reason.

Voting is tied to the shares not the corp. Just like in real life - if you own a share in a company you then have the right to vote that share in all company issues. You dont have to work for the company to vote that share. So be careful who you give shares too ;)

In my case I resigned CEO-ship to another character. He did not have rights to change everything and we switched back. Now no one seems to have the status of CEO and no one has access to any hangars. It's a very small corp but the assets are big for us. Wierd...
Anyone has any solution to this?

I think it is about time CCP get this sorted, how are the CEO's meant to fullfill thier funtion if CCP dont get the bug fixed. What exactly are we paying subscription for!

Voting out members fail because myself and my director don't have enough shares.
Shares need to be taken out of the game if they are unmanagable.
If corporations are the backbone of this game, then they need to be managed correctly. This problem will grow with time.
Of all the things in game to make complex, this should not be one of them.

So TomB are you reading this.... it is a core problem eating away at the root of EVE... my corporation cant move on.. what am I meant to do? Thers no way im loosing my corporation standings, we have spent countles hours getting them up high enough to recive good tech 2 components in future. Im sure there are many more people with this problem that havnt replied to this thread
