One way to slow it down - stopping selling known pirates ships easily? lots of main corps still do it.
I know alts can but them but its a start i spose.
hm, weird suggestion, but how about fighting back?
sorry, just an idea...

the pirates in Yulai are just wannabes with frigates and no skill. The reason they can pod there is because of the bug. ------------------------------------------------

without pirates eve economy fails. we destroy ships. therfore new ships and wepons and mods must be built. ore must mined and purchased. bp must be copied and researched. work in general must be done to replace the lost ship.
in other words. don't hate pirates cuz were at the top of the food chain. love us cuz we make everyone rich. its the destruction of ships that produces the demand.
economics 101. ----------------------------------------------

Pirates are necessary, I won't call them evil because all in all they are players just like anyone else looking for a fun game to play.
Griefing is unacceptable. Killing Velators at a 1.0 gate is just lame game play. There are hundreds of other online games out there and EVERY one of them has the same problems. Thankfully the griefers and exploiters are among the minority in EVE. It's CCP's job to make sure it stays that way or gets better.
Honorable pirating (weird term, but seems to fit here) where a pirate simply preys on those who should A) Know better; B) Have something of REAL value; C) Can defend themselves or D) Has made themself an intentional target is actually a great part of the game. Basically, those guys are just the high level PvP folks who chose to house themselves in low security space instead of Empire space.
The absolute best case scenario would be to see some of the pirates who are truly enjoying the game for what it is turn on some of the griefers. They're giving you guys a terrible name and eventually they'll hurt you more than you more than they'll help you... again, happens in every game and I'm speaking from years of experience. You guys handle your own and Alliances won't have to do it for you. Continue to allow idiots to be part of your herd and you will face growing opposition. ------------------------------------- // The views expressed by this poster are not the views of the poster's corporation, alliance, planet or television network... but they should be. |

Whoever said shooting a frig was dishonorable, not worth it or whatever he said, is very wrong, I've shot down impairors with cargoholds full of rare minerals, I've taken down shuttles that had bp's / minerals / rare modules / skills. I only kill in 0.0, used to do empire, but like it better out in low sec space, where I can hug my gate, and use my ew kit too have the option of tolling people, but mostly where I can shoot people when I like where I like, I play this game only because of PvP, I don't have any alt too feed me money / ships. I just don't get this presumption of carebears saying that all pirates have mining alts and that's why we have big shiny ships |
