Why doesn't remote-repairing someone who is in combat flag that character as having "aggressed" for docking purposes?
I mean, it flags you criminal if your target got criminally flagged, why not aggressed?
Watched pilots dock/undock while remote-repairing a dreadnought on a station so we couldn't take it down. Neat trick (and if this isn't changed, I'll have to keep it in mind to use myself), but it doesn't make sense compared to a similar action (criminal flagging).

Because it's not an agressive action towards the system, unfortunately this runs inconsistently for remote repairing random people, as you'll get CONCORD'd
Though I'll have to confess, as a logistics pilot it's probably one of the rare vices to the class - I had a gangmate primaried about 50kms from our station and was able to support him long enough for someone to take my shields down, then dock/undock...a dirty exploit, but there aren't many other choices for Logistics Pilots, other than hand out pods.
The support far outweighed my repair bills

The reason it does not aggress them is because they're not doing anything against concords regulations, as the person above me said.
The reason they recieve Criminal Coundown when repairing someone who's flagged is because they're helping out someone who has done something not supported by concord. They also get flagged if they repair someone who is -5.0 or lower.
So it does make sense, as long as the dread that you were engaging was in fact, engaged first it can be repaired without any aggression.

^^ As he said you only get flagged in certain instances when repping strangers. It give you the warning, but you can still do it and not get attacked. However, as someone in my alliance found out, once he went ahead and clicked yes, future warnings didn't show up. So when he accidentally fired a missile launcher at someone instead of repping them, he got concorded without warning from what I hear.

That last part does not make sense, as in low sec -5 and worse pilots are only fired upon if they are actively engaging an invalid target. If you remote repair them, you will be fired upon by sentries, even if they are not criminally flagged (ie, being engaged by the sentry turrets). --- Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. - Emerson |
