The server is now down for the release of Revelations II. The official notice can be found here. Once your done reading that have a look at the patch notes, LOTS of things are changing.
Then book your trip for Fanfest. 
Have a good time and we'll see you in 24 hours.
p.s. If you have ideas of things to do I'll post links to them here. Its going to be a long 24 hours.

Man! I didnt know the downtime would start at 7pm my time! I have a character with a skill ending in 20 hours!
I hereby petition that CCP moves the server to the Pacific timzone, and only does downtimes when I apporve it!

Information has been known for at least a week now. I know I was looking at the time carfully to make sure to switch to a longer skill before the downtime kicked in myself.

The only ship I have had from the begining is my hoarder. I hate that thing because I feel like a gypse refugee flyin it. I only have it to haul my crap to a new place. 30 min before the game went down, I was going to try and blow it up running fuel for the corp. After I had to count on my fingers... "lets see I am aaaaattt +5 sooo thatsssss." Then one of my corpies smacked me around and showed me the timestamp. "30 minutes!!!!!" Basically enough time to finally bite the bullet and train weapons upgrades to 5. Anyways, the haorder lives for another 24 hours and will go into the hall of fame with the most consecutive career starts...if only I could put some guns on it...
