That being a bunch of allinaces with soverign space who were already here working together to defend thier collective a$@. This is true for some of the BoB pets but not all and i may be off here and pls correct me if i am but i understand the deal to be do our bidding or die. That is not a coalition by my definition just a bunch of allinace waiting for an opportunity to slit each others throats. So ya i think pets is appropriate. Better to die on your feet than live on your knees

So if I had to choose, I think I'd choose pet. It all started a long long time ago with a corp called H.C.I. Corp. Me and my friends came over from a game called Mankind. We were HCI and we named our corp that as well. After a few months I took a break and when I came back, everyone had left and joined Black Nova Corp. They all said 'Come on over here man!' but I wasn't quite ready for pvp yet. Mind you this was a very long time ago. So I joined 4s instead. Huge mistake. Those guys did nothing but pvp. hehe. I always planned to one day join BNC but I kept getting side tracked. I was even in G alliance for a while back when BGB was with them. We all kept in touch though. So one day I joined up with this crazy little 6 man corp called OTO 'Ordi Templi Orientis'. We had the bright idea to try to claim a single system in low sec. Another bright idea on our part. So after having a series of firefights with the Muffinmen, my CEO was at her wits end. Not knowing what to do, I asked my friends for some advice. They told me that we needed to go to paragon soul and live with 'Tribal Souls' and that they would talk to Abriana (the tribal souls alliance head) and try to arrange it. The only catch was that I would have to get the go ahead from Blacklight since BNC didn't issue recomendations lightly. I contacted Blacklight and asked him for travel rights through bob space for our 6 man corp and for a letter of reference with tribal souls. Blacklight laughed his ass off. After he got done laughing at what a noob I was for asking him to give me plus 5 standings and suggest to Tribal souls that they should let us live with them rent free- he berated me on what a noob I was. A lot of people have called Blacklight an arrogant jerk. Thats true. But I'll tell ya what, after he got done ridiculing me, he gave my 6 man corp temporary +8 standings and then he pulled Abriana into the convo and asked if we could live with them rent free. Abriana quickly agreed. And thats the way it goes. Blacklight never really changed either. He's the type to be an arrogant jerk to you while he saves your ass, sends people to protect you, gives you money and strikes down your enemies. I once had a friend in convo with him and me and my friend later asked 'Why do you let him talk to you like that?' I just told him 'I owe BNC everything'. The so called temporary +8 standings lasted a good 6 months. During that time the G war broke out. Then c9n station got captured and renamed the Razor/G/Iron spearhead. It was going to be used as a staging area against BOB. Tribal Souls, POS and ASCN were going to stay out of it but my six man corp would not sit idly by. How could we? Everything we had, we had because of BOB. Tribal Souls couldn't tell us to stop as we were not yet a part of them. Eventually Tribal followed suit and we all went off to engage them. ASCN came to the defense of tribal not long after and launched a small offensive. It was a small foothold that G had in our little area but we pushed them out. Our corp eventually joined Tribal and as the war came to a close, the south was peaceful yet again. I'm not sure what happened after that. I took another break. When I came back I found that some one else had been using my account. I was in ASCN for some reason and Tribal Souls was gone. ASCN was fighting BOB so I left Darkstar 1 and joined Anzac Alliance just as Anzac was being installed into Paragon Soul against ASCN. More--->

I am sick and tired of being called a pet. I spent my eve life fighting FA/Evol, SA, ATUK, the 5, SE, ISS, IAC, Smashkill and then D2/North. People go through different phases in EvE. The political landscape of this game has been re-written and re-drawn more times than I can count. You guys would do well to remember that because enemies flamed today could be allies you need tomorrow. Grudges are not healthy for long term success or enjoyment of the game. I do keep a few grudges of my own, but I don't create a thread every 15 minutes about them. As for me, I happy I am with a group of people I don't need to coach through everything. Its also nice to be rid of that feeling where you feel that nothing will get done if you don't log in today. I hope the people who claim we are power gamers take note of that. When everyone carries their weight it means you actually don't have to be on all the time. Edit: Fixed some spelling and grammar. ----

I've been in a number of BOB pet alliances as of late. Right now I'm in ISS (Don't ask, long story) but I'll always be in the south and I think I'll always be defending BOB. They've made my safety their business too many times to count. I repay my debts but how can I repay all that they have made possible? Since ASCN, I've squared off against D2, Goon, POS, SE, IRON and just recently RA. I've been in SCA, EXE and ISS. Through out the entire war, I knew BOB would come out on top but it's funny because the coalition was baffled by the thought that we were some how slaves or pets or something like that. I've had enemy FCs tell me 'We've come here to liberate you guys, don't fight us.' Liberate us? If this is slavery then sign me up. If the entire BOB alliance took a month long vacation at the apex of the war, there are thousands like me that would still be standing here fighting. Hell, bob could get pushed back into Jita and we'd still be fighting our way back in just so that we could re-install bob. It's not a question of rent or slavery or bullying. We're not fighting for money. These guys are our friends. Okay well, maybe MC is fighting for money. But we don't look down on them for it. They are good peeps.

Sometimes more honest and interesting than any poured-over treacly rubbish that normally gets posted. Sometimes in-game is not the best place to get the best overview of what's going on in the wider picture, with its myriad distractions - ever since some of us from AAA have started using out-of-game communication channels, I certainly feel a lot more informed. Still a noob tho, apologies for the derail. =)

I think it goes without saying that when someone writes something, barring any official banner, he is speaking for himself. Its such a shame that quote-sniping and other childish behavior on CAOD has made disclaimers like this necessary. It would have been very easy for Opium to post with an alt, but he didn't. I may disagree with him, but I know who I am talking to and where the man stands. Edit: I never post disclaimers in any of my more contrversial posts because I think anyone who thinks I am speaking for anyone other than myself is a muppet anyways. And I won't be coerced into doing otherwise. ----

While I was in coalition...and our corp left at the time....certain alliances should have helped D2 a bit more then they did. Organization wasn't the best. Personally I'd love the war to end...and Bob get back to killing some of it's pets. You can't even fly around anymore without running into mobs of 60-100 ships....10-20 was fun. If you're gonna do 60 make it fun and do it in frigates and just swarm people. Drunken IAC swarms with frigates were the good ole days....fighting just Fix, Rise, and pirates. Only thing to do now is seek out an alliance/corp not involved in this bloody boring mess....
