1) Get a Tier 3 BS like the Rokh/Maelstrom 2) Study(not "take a look") the tracking guide 3) Learn how to use the column "angular" (yes i mean angular) and "speed" in the overview 4) Smile when you see that you can do lvl 4' faster than a CNR 5) Finally don't worry about defenders

I doubt the isk farmers will be switching to Rokhs anytime soon... the skill requirement to fly a Rokh with t2 guns is CONSIDERABLY higher than to fly a Raven with t2 Torps.
Which is all the isk farmers use.

gogo mob mentality. apparently eve is chok full of bitter *******s that think missiles are for noobs. Oh god it takes so much skill to train turrets. My right clicking and train on gunnery skills is what separates men from boys. whoa swapping ammo for different ranges is terrible it takes right clicking as apposed to left clicking. how about you guys get over yourselves for a second or just stop posting _______________ Rokh vs. Hyperion |

It is more about adjusting for angular/transversal velocity and target range. Which doesn't take a lot of work, but it is still more involved then turning on your launchers and sitting there.
As far as skill points, it takes about 3x SP in gunnery to get the same performance that the equivalent size missiles will have. - - -

You are exaggurating and you attack other people who are exaggurating.
Lets think of the issue as calmly as logically as we can. The hypothesis is that Ravens are too good for PvE activity and thus should be slighly nerfed by increase of NPC defender missiles. We can think of all kinds of logical arguments and examine all kinds of possibilities. But we also have a real piece of evidence: vast majority of PvE ships are Ravens. Just how big of a majority that is can be argued, but there is no denying that Ravens are the most commonly used ship. Now you can choose to argue that Raven is fine and it's all the other ships that suck. No matter which way you look at it, the imbalance between superior Raven and inferior performance of all other ships in PvE is certain.
CCP tried to correct this imbalance in a very small way, one that hardly impacts the game strongly enough to make a lot of people seriously consider using something other than the Raven. Nevertheless, it is a step in right direction from perspective of wanting to have a balanced game.
