I recently discovered that ANOTER skillbook was stolen from me by CCP, first it was salvage drone operation and now they have taken starbase tactical officer away.
This skill was useless until it was removed from the market, and the description was replaced with ôSkill at using starbase weapon systems. Allows control of one array per level. Arrays must be placed outside of the forcefield to be controlled.ö
The same as starbase defense management however it had much lower skill requirements.
I would like to know if there are any other skillbooks that CCP plans on stealing so I can sell them before they are taken.

These were all converted to the new active skill not stolen, at least not from the reseller I know.

Still you are missing the point...
the fact isnt that it was changed, the fact is that CCP keeps doing this to the players without telling them.
and another thing, a GM disagrees with you, specificaly.
i cant put the words in here because it would be EULA violation.
but i will tell you this, the skillbook was REMOVED for operational reasons and that book (starbase tactical officer) had no function in the game.
now, your comments have further helped to prove the point.
CCP dosent know what they are doing, and they dont care about how they treat there customers.
now, if you can point out in the patch notes where either they state:
1. they were removing Starbase tactical officer or
2. they say they are changing it to starbase defense managemnt
jsut because somethign has the same id dosent mean it is the same thing. when something is removed it is a blank spot in the database. and do you know what happens to blank spots? they get filled!!
just becuase the ID is the same dosent make it the same thing.

and as you can see by the database issues, they need all the help they can get with ID's being reused as they keep filling there colums up in the DB

last night i had a hell of a time trying to decode which skillbooks to buy with the database all messed up. i saw the price of a gallente cruiser skill book was 450M and the battleship was 36,000. hehe, but when you go to the market details, you could see the correct name. you could be buying anything under any name last night.

yea, with the issues of the DB right now anyone who depends on the datadump for real info is asking for trouble.

Well, I was training Starbase Tactical Officer level 5 before the patch and now I'm training Starbase Defense Management level 5 after the patch. Sounds like a replacement to me.

no, im getting worked up about CCP doing stealth updates and stealing from there players.
i personally didnt loose any money, however i did see several of the skillbooks going for sale for the same reason i held onto mine, to controll 5 more starbase structures, some of them were on sale for as much as 400 mil.
the issue here isnt the skillbook, the issue here is CCP

Damn, that sucks. I'm glad I didn't go to all the trouble to get salvage drone operation now. Skill collectors everywhere shake your fist at CCP!

no, they were removed, but the playerbase got ****ed they removed the skillbook (because they announced it) and they were given back about a week after they were removed.

because i dont want to have something important removed without warning.
the item itself dosent matter, it is simply an example, the meathods CCP is using more and more is what bothers me. if you choose not to worry about it thats your choice.

So whats the problem, because at this point, they have not been removed ( because I have 3 of them ). You can't complain about something that isn't the case.
