Seconded...I'd really like *some* sort of response from CCP, even if it's to say "we have no idea what the problem is and no ETA for a fix" it would still make us all feel a bit less...marginalised.

Don't worry about it, you will have a nice shiny new pod waiting for you when you return.

Agreed Lexus. As a new player to EVE, in exactly the same position as you, I find this lack of communication to be rather disturbing. It is CERTAINLY not indicative of the kind of service I expect.

fellas ... the game went down at 2am local time in London and 1am local in Iceland.
Crikies! If you were hauled out of your warm bed by a ringing telephone at God's own hour, you might not be up to your normal effectiveness either.
It's a friggin' game, mates. It's not like your life, your health, or even your love life depends on it.
Cut 'em some slack here. Have another beer.

I agree that it would be nice to know, but if them not paying attention to the forums because they are working on the massive lag database problem, then i would rather they fix the problem and then say what it was.

It's called CUSTOMER SERVICE but it's just too bad CCP doesn't know the meaning.

My experience of missions, where you suddenly get logged out is that you get warped away, so your ship should be safe :) The only thing that's annoying, and has happened to me a few times, is that any drones you had out killing NPC's get zapped. Not so bad when they're just tech I's, but some tech II drones cost a lot of money! I've petitioned a couple of times, and got the drones back.

Problem was lag that was caused due to either a corrupted database, or just the database server hanging/being sluggish all together, prob. wont be too hard to fix so it'll be alright

At least I'm learning something from my 2-3 months of playing Eve Online.. don't get excited about any future games from CCP.
It seems like the last 45 days have been overcome with continual release of new features when existing bugs and ongoing server/isp issues go untended/unresolved.
I guess I'm gonna go buy a copy of spaceforce: rogue universe until a better new game comes out.

I'm in the US, Pacific time. And still waiting since 8 hours from GMT is 6:30 my time unless GMT doesn't do Daylight Savings.....

It is actually -5 if your on the east coast and they don't do DST. You need to subtract not add... so it is more like 2220 your time.

My EveMon says that the server is up and people are logged on. Though my client keeps cycling from 5 secons and the startup time is now 3am GMT (9pm MST).
