Interesting data chart
So polish people don't like giving you their names? that's a bit ... odd , wonder what's the cultural bias for it ?
Or perhaps the data was gathered as in how often people from there leave their real names in places they consider public? hmmm
And people from Finland are totally ok to give you their home address+ name ?
I want to visit Finland!!! ... but I dunno if Finnish people are friendly overall ...
Discuss if you like, like these types of data charts.

I don't know but according to your chart more then half of all the people from the UK and Germany agree with that "Cultural Bias"...
Personally my answer is everything on that list until I say otherwise.

Some of that data is weird, like the way some nations think their name and address is more personal than medical records. |

Dont make me come and conquer your nation, make it better than my own, and then grant it independence again and go on holiday there. |

You're right: without knowing what methods were used to obtain the information, the survey is meaningless.
If a hawt chix calls me up (which never happens) I'm more likely to give information away...and probably make some stuff up.

Pretty much explains exactly why people ( not just europeans ) with common sense hate giving their names, with the amount of blatant corruption, selling of personal information by corporations ( see facebook ) and general invasion of privacy I wouldn't even feel comfortable giving my name out to the police anymore.
In fact with the internet now I thought having a global username anyone could contact me through might be a good idea with the kind of work that I'm going to do for a living, but when I look at the kind of **** that turns up when you google it I just think "If information is power, I've just handed them everything"
It's a shame you can't have the legal right to not post you name or anything like that, but governments seem to love big businesses. |

When I type my name I get hits for a weird bald man with a strange look in his eyes that is always looking for friends in Hi 5 ... and a lot of strange papers showing someone named like me voted once for a governor election in my country and some papers saying I was once a witness to the selling of a boat for fishing purposes. Well, I try and keep separate each of my internet personnae, my actual name, my personal information and anything that could "be used against me"... i don't have a 2.0 personna, no Facebook, no Twitter, no crap that may remember and tell everyone interested for the next 99 years that on some forsaken date i joked saying something unappropiate.
Internet, essentialy, never forgets and never deletes. Hang me if our puny brains are really aware of what THAT means about our privacy once we start trading it for some attention... |

Well, addresses are pretty much public information here so there nothing to it. But I wouldn't just walk around shouting them.
I guess we finnish can be a bit prejudiced sometimes, but that's nothing few beers can't fix. If you decide to visit be sure to come in summertime when there is something actually to do and don't just hang around in Helsinki. I could recommend Ahvenanmaa which is an island off the mainland (they speak also swedish there), archipelago around Turku and eastern parts of Finland like Lake Saimaa. |

Ahvenanmaa... Though it's beautiful place, you can't really say you're going to Finland if you go there. It's more like sweden in every aspect. Most of the (non-swedish speaking) Finns hate the place and the mentality of the people there, as you can't get any service there if you don't speak swedish. And you can't even buy a house from there if you are from other part of Finland and speak only finnish...
But if you speak english without finnish accent, you will probably be ok there.

Interesting, I might visit Finland in a year or two, Honestly I want to visit something diff .
Thing is me being a sexy latinamerican macho man with a big moustache and sweet fruit smelling lotion splashing to attract the ladies I can either speak Spanish or English and if push comes to shove I can make myself be understood in the most basic terms in French.
I don't want another Istambul , where I was lost for quite a while and thought I was gonna get vivisected to have my sweet smelling latinamerican organs removed for sale in the black market, since thats what usually happens to foreigners down here.
So any place there tourist friendly that caters to english speaking people? better to hear it from someone that actually lives there than the oh so fake tourist brochures and web pages from the internet Inner Sayings of BrujoLoco: http://eve-files.com/sig/brujoloco |

Ahh nice to know, no I don't think I speak english in a finnish accent, I speak english in a eastern european country accent for some strange reason since every time I talk to a gringo here in Panama they think I'm from "somewhere in eastern europe" .
