Given that experienced players know that bounties are useless, most of the bounties come from hapless new players who get mercilessly killed, and then post a bounty in the slim hope of helping exact revenge. A bounty typically isn't enough to get anybody to do the work to hunt down a pirate . . . but it might be enough to convince a heartless corp-mate to take a cheap shot. What's that saying about karma again?
