Something strange is happening to all the POS's I set up after the Rev2 patch. Every downtime (or any other server reboot) their shields are dropping to 50% capacity.
After I set them up, they started at 50% when offline (like they should since since Rev2). Shortly after onlining them, they started gaining shield strength and I was all happy .. until downtime hit and they were reverted back to 50%. Ever since then, I am watching them getting very close to 100% before each downtime and *snap* ... back to 50% after it.
This is only happening to the towers I have set up since the patch, not my old ones. It feels like they were internally offlined each DT and brought back to life again.
Anyone else experienced this strange behaviour so far?

I've had this prob. Was fine before rev2 but now my pos can be between 70% and 100%, no ideas why though. I've petitioned it but still no reply after 2 days.

phew, and I was there thinking I was the only one affected. So far, petition unanswered, bugreport unanswered (though that one is a bit tricky due to not having logserver possibility during downtime, but screenshots available).
Maybe if someone hears anything, they could share.

This happened to us well before the last patch.
You need a GM to get the shields "fully" back to 100% so they stay there each DT.
Petition is the only way. Make a note of the %age of shields before DT and the %age after then scream till they answer.
If I lost a POS to attack with this bug, I'd petition as an exploit.

Same here : shield at 98% before DT, down to 90 after, slowly climbing.
I did try to remote shield boost it, which is oddly enough evemailed as an attack.
COuld that be related to the shield percentage hanging ?
Will make screenies and petition then ....

As suggested earlier, a petition made and a GM healing the POS later, and the issue was gone the next downtime after.

I petitioned this and was told there was nothing they could do. I should take the towers down and put them back up again.

I petitioned this when it happened to me and a few days later the reply was "We are aware of it and it will be fixed in the next patch".
There was no mention of when that patch will be or indeed what to do should you POS get taken down but I would suggest an exploit petition.

my pos shields are still yo-yo'ing too... patch didn't work for me either :(

Sadly, the next patch does not seem to include a fix for the broken fix they put in the last patch.
I have had no response to petitions or bug reports.

Ok, guys, I need you to make some noise please. Response to my bug report:
"Thank you for your bugreport [...] POS shield fix is not working
The problem you have described was not reproducable".
That's ridiculous. At least 5 people I have talked to have *EXACTLY* the same problem and they cannot reproduce it.
Bump this thread if you have the same bug.

I have the same thing happening to /more than one/ of my towers which I have set up within the past 2 weeks. At first I thought it was long charge time, but every day I log off, and in the morning the shields have a /lower/ value. Not helpful really. Who should I be complaining to?
Edit: All the affected POS are faction towers.

I have seen this happen both in empire and lowsec. The tower's shields drop to 70-something percent after every downtime.
We solved this on a recently deployed highsec POS by remote repairing the shields a few percent, and after the next downtime they were steadily recharging again and were not being reset as before. After a couple more days the shields had recharged by themselves to 100% where they have remained ever since.

I petitioned and the dev put the shields back to 100% (eventually)
Since then shields havent budged.

I just tried helping the shield by repping it with shield maintenance drones, and the only visible thing that happened was that everyone in corp got a mail about the POS being attacked... :(
The drones seemed to do one repping run, then just returned to my ship.
Shouldn't this work?
As my POS is in a somewhat pirate infested system and I've heard ppl in local saying things like "Hehe, a POS in here won't last long...", I really want the shield at 100%
I'll be very ****ed if the POS is taken down by pirates while this bug exists.
I have petitioned, but no response so far.
I experienced a bug with one of the missile batteries I fitted too.
After anchoring it, I couldn't get it online. It said it already was online when I tried. But everywhere else it said just "anchored".
Solution was to unanchor, scoop it to my indy, then redeploy.

I had my ship's shields drop down to 50% after leaving a station yesterday (they were lower before entering but I remained in the station longer than it usually takes to regenerate them).

And two, My Corps pos have dropped to about 90% each..is it worth getting a GM to come fix them?

Repair drones are not the way to do this, but will work probably if you have a LOT of time. You need something like the Caldari Osprey that can remote repair over real distance, and I would suggest you use several of them at once as the tower's shields have a lot of HP. Just repairing the tower's shields by 1% can take an hour, depending on what size tower you are repairing and how many people are helping you.
The "attack" email is normal, you are technically targeting and attacking the tower.

Hi,
I have no pos myself, although planning to get one.
I was wondering if this happends with every POS, I mean small, medium and Large once and if it's linked to race as well.
You all might want to put this into your reply's, it might clear up things.

Had this problem 18 months ago and submitted a very detailed bug report with "It's at this pl/mn we'll be leaving it up for 2 months and won't ask GMs to heal it, take a look" but it didn't help. Had it a couple of times since. GMs can indeed fix it easily. Not sure if remote boosting it to 100% works but it's more effort than a petition.
It's a lot more prevelant now shields start at only 50% and don't need to be attacked first to get this bug so it'll probably get attention soon.

im also having this problem, i petitioned it, they then asked for permission to fix the pos, then asked where it was, i was then told "Unfortunately, the Customer Support doesn't have the means to repair any such errors related to the game content or the intended game mechanics functions. " hmmmm
