I appreciate you'd have to take the CT off line but would you then be able to remove the small CT, leaving everything else just anchored and off-line, and then put in a larger CT?
I think I know the answer but need a member of the community to confirm my worst fears and depress me

Unfortunately no.
Need to unanchor everything then unanchor tower then anchor new tower then anchor everything.

When unanchor some of modules, say Corporate Hangar Array, what happend with items inthere? Do I need to remove them first before unanchoring or they are safe there?

I would imagine you'd have to (i.e forced to) remove them first.

i like to depress ppl. yes, you have to empty everything as you cant unanchor them when not empty.

Unless you are attached to that particular moon it's usually easiest to anchor the new tower elsewhere, bring it online then move the modules to it and remove the old tower last.
Much safer

Edited by: Fatsam on 29/06/2007 12:34:55 As a side note, if you ever put any BMs in your corp hanger you won't be able to unanchor it as it still registers them as being there even if removed.
You have to petition a GM to come do it for you.
Hopefully, you never did, but when everythings offline, fuel removed, and your trying to unanchor the corp hanger this "feature" can be a nice surprise.

When you anchore a tower it defaults to the same position in space so hwo can you place it somewhere else at the same moon?

Edited by: franny on 01/07/2007 08:25:48 they mean elsewhere as in going from moon x to moon y
you used to be able to move it at the moon, but they changed it to effectively 'warp' to the center of the grid to prevent exploits
