Difference is those people were not recruited directly from the recruitment channel that has a MOTD that clearly states no scamming. If you did this and the logs show you recruited from the channel, I think you are going to have a lot of time on your hands as you won't be playing EVE if you get banned for it. This is why I get nervous going through gates with my ships. If they get scanned for their fits, then whoever sees them will, for the sake of the game, see an irresistible need to destroy them lest I share those fits and other players try to play the game with them and do irreparable harm to their play style.
