Coalition (TCF, UNL, GOONSWARM et friends) VS Alliance (BoB, Finfleet and friends)
Proud soldier in a 95 men TCF fleet, we're in 6T3 to destroy a POS. In the same system there's also an UNL fleet, and Goons, and other friends sorry I don't remember exactly, for a total of 270 blues (or maybe it was 240, not sure, forgive my memory) and couple of hostiles. Not very far we know there's many BoB & friends, as a reminder the whole Omist and Tenerifis regions are warzones.
The local is prettty populated all the gates are blobbed, but it's handling fine, almost no lag.
A cyno pop up on the overview, a scout is sent. It's definately hostile, our battleships and carriers stop their guns at the POS. Our support quickly warps to the jump portal, at least one bubble is launched, the overview begins to fill up with targets, 20, 30, maybe 35, all ready for the show.
The local goes up to 370, lag seems ok so far, primary and secondary announced, I lock, guns are on and... nothing. My target isn't taking any damage, I can't move, no ships moves, and I don't see the rest of the fleet joining us early tacklers. Client is running at a mere 40 FPS, buttons are responding, but obviously the server do not care about me.
Your typical de-sync, exciting new feature from Rev II.
I'm about to CTRL+Q to try to relog when on TeamSpeak I hear that it's not possible to relog. Being in an expendable Tech1 cruiser, out of pure technical curiosity I decide to stay to see if it's gonna recover by itself or not.
I try a lil' bit more to do things on the game, locking with the scanner, no luck, I clean up my desktop, sort out few papers for the company, few more clicks, then I go in the basement to get an ice cream (Coconut-Chocolate), back in front of PC, nothing new, so I launch a warp to a planet, 40 clicks just to be sure. I chat in local, we discuss the lag like educated people, at least the Eve chat is never lagging !
Then I hear my young kid in his room calling, he's thursty, I give him some water, he goes back into his sleep, I quietly return to my desk, ship is still hanging there in space after 20 minute of freeze, so enough for the testing, I quit the game, I relog pretty fast, surprising to be honest. I land on a planet with couple of hostiles interceptors, too far to catch me before I warp to the safety of our POS.
Final count of wreck for us TCF, about 17, so about 15%. Our capitals (minus 1 maybe, not confirmed) managed to jump out to safety how I seriously don't know.
According to the killboards... yes now to get the idea of the outcome you have to read the killboards, because being in the system won't help, so according to the killboard we lost more than the others, but it's not important, fact is that is was boring for both sides.
Bob and friends held the field, the night ended like this.

Argh, I am starting to wonder in if instanced pvp isn't that bad of an idea... At the current state of the game, the server clearly can't handle alliance warfare

This new desync prolbem is of a real concern. We all know lag, but this is described as something totally different. It was rare before, but now it happens all the time apparently.

That was lag, not desync. We were able to fire at ragoon at JV1V, although msot of us crashed and were not able to relog. This case is entirely different.

Desync happenned long time before this patch but it was minor and some exeption ... No it seems to be more recurent

it wasnt lag, it was desyncing.....blah blah blah
anyone saying that is a idiot :) why do u think desyncing occurs? oh may it be the mass load on the server that causes lag hence this lag desyncs your screen. Desyncing also happens when there isnt much lag, but in fights like this, lag is the main factor for everyone.
I persnal was one of the first BS in, was getting shot by a rapier and crusader that were around 2 au from me, could only see 2 friendslys and 6 hostiles, even though there was a lot more there. So i was laged and desyned, so quit *****ing, and saying ''there was no lag, it was desycing'' cause it amounts to the same thing :)

Yep I was in JV1V, and it was different, in JV1V the server was lagging and dying under the load.
Now it's different, all goes well until ALL freeze, until this night (and since the Rev II patch) I witnessed it when entering in a system, could happen with only a dozen of players. This time it happened when the hostiles entered the system, was new to me.
Call it lag, or desync, doesn't matter, all I know is that I saw my rupture idling on a 300+ ships battlefield for 21 minutes, it didn't blow up, it managed somehow to inflict 8000 HP to a megatron, and when I relogged it was on a location I sent it 10 minutes ago, that's all.

Seriously, This is a real problem that needs to be fixed but probably will not be... Its a feature people learn to enjoy it.

So you haven't seen ? Since revelation II, we have 2 or 3 desynch each day...
CCP should fix this quickly 
In JV1V, it was Lag. In F-T It was lag. Yesterday, it was desynch. Nice PvE

stop the "desync-bullcrap" already. it has been in the game from the start and everyone called it lag. if you got shot whilst being 2 million km away we called it lag. now everyone and his mother comes up with desync and complains. lag is the reason for your client to desync, don't you all get this into your tiny little heads?
it is not new, it is not a rev 2 feature, it's just some cleverheads giving a new name to something very old.
so stop hoping you'll get reimbursed if you use this expression 10000 times. nothing has changed, and hence CCP won't change their policy. server did not die and you get nothing back policy that is.
i can't stand this word anymore, FFS. when did everyone forget taking it like men and come back to the battlefield in a new ship? are we fighting on the petition front already? that just plain sucks.

if desyncing just came in this patch, howcome its been around at all the huge battles before? c-j siege comes to mind, some of our dreads were getting shot 1mil KM's away, while they were acctualy stil at the POS.
Yes desycning is now more prone for watever reason with this new patch, however it isnt a new thing, it isnt a new module for bob pilots to add to while everything.
And we were desycned and lagged, for whoever said wernt.

I think you are seeing a "desynch" because of the anti-lag measures in Rev2. I guess that the client is rendering the action and not waiting for the server to confirm it.
Now don't shoot me, but it happens a lot in WoW when it is laggy. You run through the entire zone and then the server corrects and brings you back to where you started. Something similar here I believe.
But hey, you can't complain that you were completely frozen :) you could still queue commands.
Next time both sides should get on IRC and play the fleet battles out with /random 1-100 primary. Whoever dies agrees to self destruct their ship when the server catched up.

You have to appriciate that Lag/Desync etc etc all these Server Issues effect all parties. There is no win button. I have had exactly the Server Issues as you on many occasions in many battles. I spent 90-95% of the time in the epic capfleet battles in 9-9 and f-t waiting on the client catching up, but I get on with life rather than write a battle report that contains very little information about the battle and is basically a anti-lag post. --
