This is a forum about, you know, virtual spaceships and stuff. Why you think this is a good place for a discussion about EU referenda, I don't know. It's not even in OOPE

A referendum costs a lot of money.
The reality of the matter is a referendum would be held costing millions, for probably a less than 50% turnout with even less of those people properly informed on the debate.
The government would do what they wanted anyway regardless of the outcome of a referendum.
No offense, but I think this one is best left to those in the know (the people we elected) about what it means to decide if its best for us, and save wasting referendum money that could better be used on public services.
The matter of you bringing this up here on the spaceship game forum is odd though, and linking a UKIP video is probably unwise if you're trying to 'sway' people who want to shoot spaceships into lobbying their MPs.
