PMolkenthin Applied Eugenics	Posted - 2007.06.28 12:14:00 - [1] Since iv been playing this game (about 2 years) iv heard alot about the Jove race, and seen screenshots, and videos of devs flying Jove ships etc. Iv also heard about a lot of events and even been involved with one of them. (Myself and a friend attacked a serpentis freighter convoy and they offered us 4bil to escort them out of Syndicate). My question is, when will we see a Jove event? eg. a small Jove raiding party goes on the rampage around low sec or something, and maybe a few Jove ship blueprints falling into the hands of some lucky participants. I think its about time they come and have a fight with us, since we cant go to Jove space and beat them up (or try).
TheFirstInquisitor	Posted - 2007.06.28 12:22:00 - [2] I seem to remember reading somewhee about plans (might have been in backstory for all I know) about upgrading Titans Jump drive to not need cyno fields to jump. This would give an opportunity to jump a Titan in, then colonise from there, perhaps it setting up a cyno field for motherships/carriers to jump to. Hell, introducing the ability for Alliances to build Stargates woiuld be interesting eh? Whoops, they aleady did... Until god gets over here and says otherwise, I am the defacto ruler of the univere. I'm not sure whether this rumour was sparked by the development (at that time) of the Asian races (which we now have of course). Will we ever actually get to play as Jove? Or will we forever have to look at their gates with awe and frustration?

How about some Jove technology being leaked, resulting in a new twist to invention, where you can invent a Jove variation instead of T2? Of course, the modules would need to be really interesting instead of a large armor rep that repairs 2000hp. Perhaps an LAR that repairs the same amount as a T2 but uses no cap?

This would only grant alliances already in the possession of a Titan more free space to advance. BOB has the most titans (even having recently lost one) and have more in the making. this would effectively give bob all the space they need to create an unassailable production unit and logistical operation that no one can attack (i.e. jove space, or Bove Space). hopefully CCP will get lag fixed a little better in rev 3, and give us some dx9 textures and whatnot (iDrool for eve). After that, who KNOWS what kind of awesome stuff they can get out of the Jove race. True aliens would be better though, jove are just genetically altered humans. would not work. This is of-course right before we meet a native tyranid-like race which will further reduce the space in which pod pilots can fly safe. When you clear it all, you are in with a chance to uncover some unique technology items or blueprints. Perhaps put a broken gate in, so one could think it leads to Jove space, but was destroyed by the jovians when they sealed their borders. Isnt jove a race of all races anyways? That way this race won't be ran by trollers or noobs. Say give a set standard of around 15mill sp he or she has a one time chance to get promoted into the Jove race. Would make things interesting.

Jove are Jove, not all races. 15 mill SP is pretty easy really, slightly more than a year's work.
