I know there are posts about corp security etc. but I want to ask one simple question.
Does anyone know how to replace a CEO who can/will not sanction the action to replace, even though a valid vote has taken place among shareholders?
It would appear the CEO can not be removed without their sanction. So much for hostile takeovers. In our case the reason for the attempt is that our current CEO seems permanently afk.

We have the same problem. I would like to know how to remove our CEO as well. It's impacting the functionality of our corp.

Well, there's always the "clean out hangar and account" approach and then start a new corporation. Or, if none of you actually have account and/or corp hangar access, you can simply all leave the corp and start over. It might take a while, but at least your corp will be more dedicated.
I'm not sure what this sanctioning means really, but my guess is that the intention is that a majority of the shareholders is supposed to be able to vote out the CEO, so it might only be a bug, or something unintentional. Have you tried doing a bugreport?

lol..I had no idea that ceo removal would be so popular so quickly. Just goes to show that a lot of corps are headed to disaster when their members get power hungry and want a coup...
I do hope ccp makes takeovers doable it adds spice

A corporation is it's members. If you don't like your CEO you should either remove him, if possible, or you should leave the corp.

Thanks for the info. Wrangler. Our CEO is AWOL, but our corp is thriving very well. I'd rather not start a new corp. There's been a lot of investment in the name. Plus, disbanding a corp adds greater confusion and possible member loss. I have full CEO status, but the CEO has exactly 1/2 of the stocks. I have instigated a vote to take over as CEO, even though his votes never applied (he was not there to vote) the sanction did not go into action. Is this because I do not have a majority of the votes (exactly 1/2 doesn't make majority), or is it that this part of Eve is not currently functional?
Another thing, if the CEO fails to continue his membership to Eve, what happens to his character, and what happens to the corp he is CEO of after the trial 30 days is up? Does his CEO status surrender to the next in line?
Is there any way I can go about getting just one more share of stock to have shareholder majority to take over as CEO?

Well wrangler. Its something like Bull**** (sorry for that word) what youŠve written. How can you clean out the corp hangar, just because the CEO doesnŠt play your way? The ppl should be always aware of the corp they choose and if they mismatch, they canŠt plunder the hangar and get lost. So check what youŠre writing next time...

Mate, not to be rude here.. but i suggest you Re-Read what Wrangler put... He didn't say Plunder the hanger and do a runner.. He said Take all your goods out of the hanger, Start a NEW corp, then put all the goods back in that corp hanger..!
I find it quite ironic that you ended your post with "So check what youŠre writing next time...", a man falling victim to his own advice is always a funny sight. lol

errr.....Gone2mars,. exactly how would that NOT be taking everything and doing a runner?, considering that the chances are the old CEO would not be in the new corp!
That IS taking everything and doing a runner in my book, the only difference is that it would be a few corpies doing it together....
And Wrangler - for what its worth, its probably not a good idea to be giving advice like that - corp raping has caused enough trouble as it is without the forums mods suggesting it!!!!!
