Edited by: Cloudie on 20/01/2004 18:46:09 I'm getting a bug where if i switch to any other ship beside my rifter (was in rifter when bug first started happening), all my attributes go down...
I think the new set of lower attributes are the default ones for Intaki (minus bonuses from character creation and learning skills).
my attributes go back to normal when i restart Eve, but I can't switch ships without them going down again no matter how many times i restart/reboot

It's an old bug. Just a graphical glitch though, it won't affect your training time.

Yeah cloudie, its just a display bug. Your training times are not adversely affected.

I'd like someone to verify this please. I've tested this numerous times and I have found that it does seem to affect training times. It also affects mineral requirements for blueprints. This seems like a pretty important bug to me.

I'm having exactly the same problem with fluctuating Attributes.
Some times I have Intelligence 18 and Memory 10, the next instant I have Intelligence 14 and Memory 8. Perception and Willpower also fluctuate +/- 2 points.
I have minmatar frigate lvl3 and want to train it to lvl4.
With the lower attributes it shows as 5 days, with the higher attributes it shows as 3 days.
Additionally I have trained learning to lvl3, Spatial Awareness to lvl3 and Iron Will to lvl2 and it doesn't affect my Attributes in any positive way even when they're shown at the correct (higher) values.
My attributes have been going up and down for no apparent reason since I started playing, which was two weeks ago. At first I thought this was normal, but my corp mates told me that it is not. So I bug reported it last night with no response yet.
Below are two screenshots which were taken one hour apart. None of them shows my correct attributes:

It happens when you switch ships.
It *should* be only a visual issue, if you actually start training a skill (not just look at the time it takes). It should show the same amount of time remaining regardless of what your attributes say.
If this is not the case for you, you should submit a bug report (EVE Insider). You could also drop by #[email protected]

I've noticed the same thing: fluctuating attributes and fluctuating learning time predictions in the display.
I've also noticed that it doesn't *seem* to affect actual learning time (ie, actual learning time is what it should be according to natural & upgraded attributes).
Still an annoying bug though, as you can't really plan your learning times properly if you can't count on the fact that they are displayed properly. |
