Revisited I have mention'd it before and it gets ignored (not implimtented).. and I think it's an excellent IDEA and it really makes me wonder why ccp wont do it..
Anyhow Here's "DEO's Isksink" at a rough guess, I would figgure 1k+ battleships are made each day, 10k+ cruisers are built, 50-100k frigates are built.. So with ships continually getting built and destroyed then lets make building them an isk sink..
A new "material" should get added to all ships, something like a "Production lisence".. Frigates require 1, Cruisers require 2, Battleships require 3, tech2 doesnt require any, and then barges/whatever else there is can take on more accordingly..
The part should be sold only by npc's, and not ever drop as loot, nor be available via the LP store.. CCP should be able to modify the price of this part regulary via markets to make it sink more isk, or less isk...
I think isk sinks like this would be better for the game than having say LP rewards work as isk sinks (where your wanting to charge 500m for a popular item, but the same non-popular faction counterpart via the lp store cost 20m)...
The only thing I would really ask is that this part wouldnt come back out when the ship is refined, and that there wouldnt ever be any way to get that part except for markets.....
It would also give players something to "market trade" in..
But that's just me.

ORRRrrr... as a better isk sink...
go to people and places, choose characters, type in 'Samuel Samson', when the results come up, right click on the results, and choose 'Give Money...'
Type in the desired amount of sink, and click send. |

the only people that need isk sinks are people who do nothing but run missions in empire or manage to rat religiously after downtime.
Almost everyone i know that actually plays this damned game is always broke, myself included. Stop suggesting new isk sinks and instead grow some balls and go out and pvp a litte, i promise you wont be crying for an isk sink after you loose a few ships.

Honestly this is a bad idea, becuase it will raise the price of ships (and anything else that will use these lisences).

So you want to make production logistics worse? Sorry pal, T1 production is bad enough as it is. Only reason some ships are profitable to build is that NPC's don't drop em.
Where was it exactly that the idea that Eve is in desperate need of more ISK sinks became popular?

Isk reduction and more logistics/higher skill requirements, could actually help T1 production.
Right now its everybodys ball game. No real room or need for specialists. Meaning everyone and their grandmother can produce - and half of them does not have Calculation lvl 1. So the T1 market gets killed for those trying to make it a place of work.
And less isk would to some degree push people back into cheaper ships. But in that respect it would be better to cool down some of the isk faucets.

Here is an ISK sink for you. Why don't you take your faction fitted CNR and "autopilot" it through low-sec? Repeat this until your wealth problems go away.

Hmm... trying to stop people from selling frigates (that they built with industry I and an ME 0 BPC) for less than mineral costs because they don't understand opportunity costs would be nice. However, it seems the blueprints themselves are a license to produce. 360m for some battlecruiser BPOs (potentially my next big purchase) is plenty of isk sink for me.

The difficulty level in Eve because of the price of everything and skill training times makes the game boring enough as it is. We don't need even MORE grind.
Seriously if this game gets any freaking slower and more difficult I won't bother paying for it, because it'll be more boring than it is fun.
If anything, speeding things up a little would probably make this game a LOT better. A times 2 increase in skill training speed and a times 2 increase in resource base value and mission rewards. Just SOMETHING to make it less freaking dull. Not one more thing to make it worse.

one should not change something that is already working without problems. the isk sink i'd sugest is something that can either improve a module, ship, or one's skillpoints.
maybe even one's POS bases or outposts
