Oh, if you dont want to pay a ransom then dont, most pirates are happy to have the kill mail although ISK is always welcome. I have no worries about selling loot of ships. Log my alt on in work and move it around selling it. No trouble at all. ISK gained from loot = sweeter imo when it has the blood of the pilot on it

If i was flying a ship worth 2bil and was offered a 500mil ransom then hell i'll take it. doesn't make me weak it means i have a brain in my head and can do simple maths. And why do u 'LOL' as you say you do on the way to the station, you've just been killed and a dirty piwate is looking through ur belongings taking what he needs and disregarding the rest when u could have saved ur ship by using ur head but chose not to for some sort of strange feeling of pride. Tell me what has more pride Flying away in your ship after negotiating your release. or Flying away in your little pod with ur stuff scattered around space or maybe even worse leaving your corpse in space for all to see you got pwnd DE

We popped his ship (Which had to pay for and some how get the ISK) and pick the mods worth anything (Again, he had to pay) So, while your off laughing, we laughing thanks to the free stuff (Minus the minor costs of ammo)

Just for curiousity's(sp) sake, what ship were you in and what was he in? Also, what were you doing in lowsec in a ship worth upwards of 1.2b that can't kill a lone pirate? Why pay twice for an evemail of 'HAHA NOOB I PWNZORED YOU AND YOUR WALLET'? There's absolutely no reason to take the chance. Prats pewpew each other for fun as is, it's not like 'shame' is any additional motivation. Assuming I do get caught in lowsec in a ship worth ransoming the temptation to take the hundreds of M and then pop the ship and hope for a few more hundred M in loot is not something I'm willing to gamble the prat will resist. Eat the loss, learn the lesson, spend the money you'd have spent on ransom on a good merc corp.

I paid 5 million isk, not much I know, but I'm 2-3weeks old (what was I doing in 0.4 you say? just a few rats to test weapons) He got me in a harpy, it took a while... so I paid him, it was my first encounter with a pirate so I thought, hm now I saved my caracal =D BOOM!... grr so I told my corp he's got to die, we made a team and we hunt him down, we got him but just before we actually saw him on the scanner, he transferred that 5 million back, pretty funny actually... we still popped his ship...

'blah blah im flying through blah in unfitted tempest but had to log off, can I pay 50m to live and return on my journey and get through your camp' On inspecting our killboard and talking with the guys in current camp I find out he had indeed logged and already lost his tempest... with this in mind I said.. 'sure, pay the isk we wont shoot your tempest when you login' and after borrowing the iskies form a corp mate I was 50m isk richer. When he logged in we didn't shoot his pest (it was alreasy dead), we did however smartbomb his pod as it warped to gate and of course were 50m richer. So endeth the story lmfao Kleptomaniacs are recruiting evildoers. Channel KLEPTO for info.

If i'm in a ship without any weapons (hauler/miner) then i know i'm out there and in danger but hell that's the fun of it isn't it? Every death that i've taken, i've taken like a man and told the pirate to just kill me as he's not going to get any money out of me, at which point we usually thank each other for the fun and i end up back at a station. There is one thing i keep repeating to myself. It is only a game.
