Meh I can't seem to import 5pindizzy into EFT, even though it worked with other characters I tested on the same userID and API.
Wouldnt happen to be due to having a number at start of name would it?
A nice new disadvantage to add to the list that would be.
Why does EFT and Eve have a good difference in ehp aswell?

EFT listed EHP depends on the type of damage percentage breakdowns you choose (right click on the icon under "Defence" to set this).
Why would I want to change it from uniform damage distribution to understand why EHP in EFT and EHP in the ingame fitting window is different?

Now, if someone from CCP could tell us how the Eve fitting screen calculates it...
Ohhh, ok, thanks though.
Just there's quite a few maths wizkids on here and thought someone had probably figured it out or gotten very close at least with some kind of formula.
I had two setups, one ingame and one in EFT, same hitpoints, same resists yet there's around a 30% difference in EHP.

Ah nevermind I can see what Eve uses to calculate effective HP, quite simple really.
Along the lines of
Total Shield HP/100 x Lowest Shield Resistance + Total Shield HP.
Same again for Armour.
Same Again for Hull.
Add them all together.
You'll get an answer that's a little bit out but that's only because the figures in the fitting window are rounded off I think.
Basicly Eves fitting window gives you the absolute minimum damage you can take before you'll die whereas EFT gives you approximately the average damage you're most likely to take before you die.
