Edited by: Chezaka on 23/08/2007 00:44:18 I've been working on a tool which you could call an Add-on for EFT. The goal is to lookup prices of modules + price of the whole ship-setup, automatically, getting info out of this database, where the entry of prices is aimed to be user-driven.
It's absolutely beta phase. The tool should work fine, i hope the installer does as well. But at this moment i just need a few people wanting to test this and tell me how it worked out.
If you're interested take a look at: http://www.drome.nl/eve/OnlineModulePrices.htm

Ah yes that looks interesting indeed.
Going to take a look at using their market database for this.

This looks quite promising, but the price upload feature could be improved a great deal by making it work via regional/trade hub averages obtained from market exports, which many people already collect and submit to www.eve-central.com. As an added bonus, you could then compare how much your setup costs in different regions.
I've finished updating the server platform to use eve-central.com originated price data. Makes the tool so much more useful since all prices are right there now ready to be used, instead of waiting for the list to grow and get complete. In the process i've added the price data to the item database itself as well.
I yet have to update the client program to remove the submitting parts, and i might actually do something with your suggestion on regions.
Thanks for pointing it out!

Originally by: DeathsEmbrace Chezaka you add-ons really bloody useful mate, helps a ton for costing up. However the E5 energy vampire isn't coming up with a price bud. I'll post any other bits of missing data as I go through it mate.
Cheers for the effort put in for this.
Glad you find it useful!
About the E5 energy vamp, you are correct. The price is currently not in the database, but that is because it isn't avaliable atm in the local database. And THAT is because no price info is currently available at the eve-central database.
Basically 95% of all modules are probably in, and eve-central.com is growing every day and has already tons of market info as we speak, things will only get better

Xaen, a corp mate of mine had the same problem. In his case it was due to a faulty import of skills.
You might want to check EFT with character selection as 'All Level 5' to see if this changes the 'Cap Lasts' calculation to realistic levels. If it does, then try deleting your character in EFT and recreate your char from scratch with the API connection, this fixed the problem for him. (But of course I am not saying it will fix the problem in your case as well).

Edited by: Chezaka on 04/10/2007 22:14:06 Just a quick note that i released an update to EFT - Online Module Prices, the separate prices Add-on for EFT.
V0.3 - (October 4th, 2007)
Updated server communications to the new domain. Old versions of the software are no longer able to retrieve online information. Thanks DeathsEmbrace for reporting the problem :) Added little counter in the status bar while retrieving online items. You can fetch the update at http://eve.drome.nl. Go to the 'Online Module Prices' page.
