Originally by: Mitchman I realize that the API is down now, but shouldn't EFT provide an error message in such cases?
EveMon also fails to update. An error message would really depend on what the server is sending back. I don't want to speculate, but that both programs fail to throw obvious error messages may mean its just a simple "try again later" reply that neither program has a prepared notification for.

2.8 nuked all my ship setups (or at least, corrupted one of the dozens I have). Threw floating point and other errors on load. Switching back to 2.7 till the bug is fixed.
Oh well. I get to play around with EFT even moar now

In case of such errors appearing on the first start (not caused by use of boosters) make sure your copy of archive wasn't corrupted during download and you've overwritten all the files.
Archive was fine. Overwriting files had no change.
It is possible the booster stuff I was trying on one configuration is the culprit, I don't know. I didn't remember which ship I was testing, and I didn't want to go through my entire list of ship fittings to try to find the culprit file (if any).
I did the drag/drop implant calculator, and that was definitely the moment the program exploded on me. Overwriting data had no impact: the program would load with the error.
Rewriting to previous 2.7 gave me a gibberish ASCII error, and then terminates. I had to do a complete deletion of the folder and throw out all ship fittings to get 2.7 working again.
I can play around / get screenshots of those 2.8 problems if you want. Windows XP. |

EVE-Files link appears damaged for 2.8.1. Really looking forward to trying out the booster feature finally! Keep up the work Gripen

First, thanks for the speedy update!
Now, for a question: On the DPS simulation, do missile simulations follow the new derived formula? I'd assume so, but I'd really like confirmation either way on this point.
